- Arjun Yadav return from the city after completing his studies to get settled in his village with his family consisting of his mother Devi Chaudaran, his older brother Amrit and sister. Arjun finds out that Amrit and Thakur Bhanwar Singh does not get along quiet well and attempts to be a peace-maker between the two. One day situation takes a turn for the worse when Amrit is killed, Devi Chaudaran loses her senses, Arjun's sister is raped and he himself is beaten and tied to a tree. Arjun is then rescued by some sympathetic villagers and run off with his childhood friend Makan Malla in the deep ravines only to turn an outlaw whose only motive is to avenge the killings of his family members.

When Avtaar and Radha wish to go on a tirathyatra (pilgrimage), they ask Ramesh to book tickets for them, but he tells them that he has no money. When Radha gets sick, their servant, Sewak, enters Sudha's room to get some money for her treatment, as a result Radha does get treatment, but Sudha blames them for stealing her money. Avtaar asks Ramesh and his wife to get out, only to find out that the house is now in Sudha's name. AVtaar, Radha and Sewak move out and live in a shanty hut. Their hopes are with Chander, who does well in his exams, decides to marry Renu, and moves out without financially assisting his parents. Now Avtaar and Radha are elderly and dependent on Sewak, and the question remains will they resign themselves to this existence, if not, what possibly can a crippled older male accomplish, especially at this time in his life?
- The story revolves around the pain of children that parents have, even adopted ones in India. Shankar, played by Danny, is a small-time crook who is given number one by gang leader (Kader Khan), though his accomplice No. 7, who uses him and gets him embroiled in a false murder. Shankar who deeply loves his wife Nanda (Deepti Naval) and daughter Meena (Mandakini), is devastated when he finds out that his newborn son has an incurable fever; he rushes to Dr. S. Malhotra (Suresh Oberio), who refuses to treat his son out of turn--and the baby dies. Full of vengeance, Shankar abducts the doctor's son Shoorveer and hands him to Iqbal to maim and make a beggar. Iqbal is saved in epilepsy by Shoorveer, who then brings him up as his own son. Meanwhile Shankar is caught by the police and imprisoned and his daughter and wife, by strange turn of events, are employed by Dr. Malhotra who, moved by their love and care, takes care of them. Shoorveer saves the life of the doctor's adopted daughter Meena, and both develop a teenage affection; they're then separated and then meet again in youth when Shoorveer is part of a gypsy entourage who love him. Nanda and Dr. Malhotra do not like their relationship, and Meena is being pursued by Rakesh Bedi who is Kader Khan's son. The story revolves around how Danny hungers for his family, Dr. Malhotra's pain to meet his long lost son, his love for his adopted daughter Meena, and the love of Meena and Shoorveer.
- After witnessing his parents' assassination by Thakur Hakim Singh, Laakhan Singh, and Roshan Singh; Captain Zorawar Singh from the Indian army takes shelter in Gauri's house and consumes an unreasonable amount of alcohol. In his inebriated state, he gets intimate with Gauri without realizing it and she gets pregnant; when her inspector brother finds out, he attempts to avenge the injustice done to his sister by attacking Zorawar, resulting in fisticuffs that leave the inspector dead. Meanwhile Gauri gives birth to a son and attempts to bring him up; she decides to name him Shankar Shrivastav and make him promise to take revenge on Zorawar. Years later, Shankar has grown up to be a police inspector and is on the lookout for Zorawar; he comes to the aid of a mechanic named Suraj Singh several times and befriends him, finding out that he owns a small garage and lives with his elderly mother Padmini in the Bombay slums. What Shankar does not know is that his friendship with Suraj will be short-lived: Suraj is the biological son of his enemy Zorawar, and Padmini is his wife.
- Arun meets Seema by accident and both are attracted to each other. But Seema has a questionable background, which do create doubts in the minds of Arun and his mother. Arun is then involved in an accident, and everyone believes he is dead. Seema is devastated, and takes to alcohol, singing and dancing in a bar, and is raped by a man. Then Arun returns, and Seema is overjoyed to see him, but is hesitant to tell him about what had occurred. Arun takes Seema to his home, and introduces them to his family, namely his mom, his sister, Priti, and his brother-in-law, Prem. Seema is stunned and shocked when she sees Prem, for she recognizes him as the man who had raped her. Now Seema must decide to keep this terrible secret to herself and get married to Arun, or simply disappear from his life altogether.

Years later he grows up to lead a life of crime while Sharma's son, Amar grows up to be a police inspector with a motive of avenging his dad's death by killing Khurana. Khurana's business have materialize into drugs and unlawful activities - with Amar defeating him in every step - he now become a thrown in Khurana's side who hires John to kill him. John accept the job along with a fat fee - this then re-unite him with the Sharmas which prompts him to join hands with Amar to bring Munjal Khurana to justice.
- Thakur is a wealthy, principled, and punctual man, who will not tolerate anything, even music in his palatial home. Thakur's only motto in life is money, and each and every second is spent on making and earning money. His elder son, Amar Kumar rebels against this, and is warned. But Amar does not heed this warning, and falls in love with a poor gypsy girl, Jyoti, and both elope in order to escape the wrath of his dad. Thakur second son, Pawan Kumar, is sent away abroad so that there are no lingering bad influences on his life. Years later, Pawan returns home, and is the exact cold-hearted and arrogant image as his dad. Amar and his wife give birth to a son, and Amar writes to his dad to forgive him. Shortly thereafter the couple pass away, leaving their son, with Jyoti's sister, Dilruba. Thakur decides to forgive his late son and asks Pawan to go and bring his grandson home. Pawan sets forth to get his nephew, with the help of MGM, and meets a host of less-than-fortunate people. His attitude does not get him anywhere with Dilruba and he is forced to assume another identity, that of Aashiq, to try and get his nephew home. He does succeed in pulling wool over Dilruba's eyes and both eventually fall in love with each other - little knowing that his dad has already planned his marriage with wealthy Meenakshi and if he refuses he may suffer the same fate as Amar.
- Radha's husband becomes disabled post a car accident. To make ends meet, she unwillingly accepts a job as a nanny at a wealthy family's house. Complications arise when she learns the family's reason for hiring specifically her.

When Sangram refuses, the marriage is canceled. When Suraj questions this, Sangram refuses to provide any answers. That night Jaspal leaves without telling anyone. Suraj meets with and falls in love with Vanisha. Subsequently, Suraj is suspended from active duty, arrested and charged with killing a man named Anthony. A woman named Geeta comes to his rescue with evidence to prove his innocence. Subsequently, Geeta is killed, and Suraj swears to bring in the culprit at any and all costs. Little does Suraj know that his girlfriend, Vanisha, is plotting to kill him; Sangram is not his real father, and he was sired by a bandit known only as Jarnail Singh. Things get worse when Jarnail's rival, Jabhar alias Zoravar, finds out about Suraj's biological lineage and sets forth to have him killed - by any and all means possible.
- Jageera Singh has always lived a life of crime, drinking alcohol, and frequenting brothels, although he is married to pregnant Laxmi and has a son named Vikram. On the day of Laxmi's delivery, Jageera is busy molesting young Paro. Laxmi gives birth to a daughter, Jyoti, who is subsequently abducted. Jageera disappears from Laxmi's life, and she goes to live with a female friend who passes away, leaving Laxmi with the responsibility of also looking after her son, Virendra, aka Veeru. Years later Jageera surfaces and joins forces with smuggler and prominent citizen Bhanupratap. When Police Inspector Vikram's diligence causes problems for Bhanupratap, Jageera offers to kill Vikram, especially when Bhanupratap's niece Priya falls in love and wants to marry Vikram. At this point the past revisits Jageera and he comes face-to-face with his past wrong actions and the devastation that he has inflicted on his family.
