Recorded October 30th and 31st, 1980, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Dead Ahead showcases the recently reformed Grateful Dead lineup in acoustic and electric splendor.

The title derives from the fact that it was the last concert in San Francisco's Winterland Arena, which was shut down shortly thereafter. The Dead celebrated the closing as an approximately five-hour-long party and invited some guests including guitarist John Cipollina of Quicksilver Messenger Service and Ken Kesey as well as actor Dan Aykroyd who provided the midnight countdown.

NOBODY'S is a music video directed by Gian-Carlo Coppola and Justin Kreutzmann in 1986. The song was written by Brent Mydland. Performing on the song and in the video are, Mydland, Bill Kreutzmann, David Margen and Jerry Cortez. It aired on TV as part of a Grateful Dead special in the summer of 1987.

It depicts the production of the band's first music video, for their song "Touch of Grey". Dead Ringers was directed by Justin Kreutzmann, the son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann. Released on VHS video tape in 1987, it is 30 minutes long. The video spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Billboard home video charts.
