- Valentin (Wotan Wilke Möhring) receives an alarming call from his best friend Theo (Fabian Busch), whom he gave the keys to his new and much too expensive house, to spend a night with the waitress Mörli (Claudia Eisinger). Theo's - best selling novelist, chess player and not in the best health - and his wife Katja's (Pheline Roggan) marriage is running into trouble for a while already. Therefore some diversion with Mörli is a good idea - according to Valentin. So far, so good. But when Valentin get's to his house, it is lying in darkness, Theo is panicking, somebody is dead and of course nothing is as it seems.

Most of the others in the village see it more calmly. The only thing that bothers Melanie is that the construction site is not properly secured. But Anja was always excited. Even when she went to school with Melanie and Lydia and the three were considered inseparable. Opinions are now divided on the disappeared forced laborer street. The daily soap star Lydia, who returned home after a career break, collects likes and followers from the village as an influencer and earns "Get your home back!" with her down-to-earth web videos. almost as good as having a lead role. Anja says it out loud: Lydia rides the brown wave. And when their followers are not only more numerous, but also more violent, Melanie, a law enforcement officer who is addicted to harmony, has to make a decision. For the old friendship or for decency and law.
