Vasilis lives with his father in a village in rural Greece. When he turns 12, his father buys him a gun and a young hunting dog, Max, and sets out to train him to become a hunter.
A man returns to his birthplace for his mother's funeral. She has left a basil pot for him to take care of. During the time he spends there he confronts his past.
The film is focusing on two self organized pedagogical preschool projects in Greece based on the values of libertarian education and experiential learning.
Andreas has to take care of the boss's house and dog. The dog is mad. The house is luxurious. His co-workers are jealous. The neighbor is stalking close by. The dog is called Leben and has its own plans.
