The music video to What Is Love was filmed in Paris, France and features Jones walking around the city and a park.

The second version of the video is the most well-known, and received heavy rotation airplay at MTV. It is a magical fantasy concept video set in the 1940s, the heyday of dance halls. The video begins in black-and-white, with Jack Hues stopping in front of a closed-down hall, setting down the suitcase he carries, and picking up a flyer. The scene shifts to colour, featuring the band performing in the packed hall with the backing of a big band as couples dance (played by heavily made-up children from a local dancing school). Later, a disco ball descends to the floor and breaks open, allowing a mirror-covered humanoid creature to emerge and dance. The video ends in black-and-white, with Hues walking past the hall and down the street; he leaves his suitcase behind, but it sprouts legs and hurries off after him.

The official music video features Boy George and the rest of the Culture Club members in a Japanese setting, and ends with a woman dressed as a geisha and a man dressed as a karateka trying to extinguish a fire using guitars.

Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford play the three titular illegal aliens in this slightly odd video clip.

The music video to "Adult Education", directed by Tim Pope, takes place in what appears to be a torchlit stone temple or tomb. As Hall and Oates and their band sing, dance and play with modified instruments and ceremonial objects, a middle-aged man in a baseball cap organizes and wields several idols, while chanting.

The video opens at a food processing plant, where Jones works as a caretaker. As the owner arrives on the site, Jones strips off his uniform overalls and begins to sing to the other workers. One of them, a man wearing black/white face paint removes his overalls and begins to dance through the plant. As the owner begins to mop the floor, Jones, the dancer, and several employees pile into his luxury car and drive off. Jones and the dancer next visit an Underground station to perform for the patrons, then visit a window cleaner and get him to take a break from his work. Finally, the two arrive at a public school and interrupt a class of unruly students, who follow them outside to play on the lawn, followed by their teacher.

The video was a clipshow, as are most posthumous Lennon videos.

Manfred Mann sings and the band plays the song on a darkened sound stage while clips play from the Olympics including athletes running track and runners carrying the Olympic torch.
