Pamela Salem, who portrayed Miss Moneypenny in Never Say Never Again opposite Sean Connery in his final turn as James Bond, has died. She was 80.

Salem died Wednesday in Surfside, Florida, according to Big Finish Productions, for whom she participated in several audio productions.

“Whenever there was a Big Finish recording for her, she’d fly in from Miami on her own steam, without fuss or fanfare, and appear at the studio armed with the warmest smiles, the biggest hugs and often presents,” producer David Richardson said in a statement.

For the BBC’s Doctor Who, Salem played the sandminer pilot Lish Toos on 1977’s “The Robots of Death” and Professor Rachel Jensen on 1988’s “Remembrance of the Daleks.” She reprised both roles for Big Finish in the audio drama series The Robots and radio spinoff series Counter Measures.

Salem also portrayed the evil sorceress Belor on the 1981-82 ITV...

Tfh Fearless Leader Joe Dante very astutely tip-toes around Larry Cohen’s stylistic filmmaking identity early on in King Cohen: The Wild World of Filmmaker Larry Cohen. Dante notes, “I would hardly call him the John Cassavetes of exploitation movies, but he does have a certain raw, visceral, realistic style.” Indeed, Larry Cohen’s signature film, Q: The Winged Serpent (1982), feels like what would happen if John Cassavetes directed a Ray Harryhausen film. So does this count? Never Say Never Again stirs many arguments by shaking up the official order, splitting fans on the issue of its legitimacy. Put such issues aside and enjoy what remains: a sly, witty semi-pastiche that doesn’t attempt to recapture past glories but can easily hold its own alongside Diamonds Are Forever and Octopussy. The Villain: Ignore Emilo: Maximillian Largo is his own maniac. Short, tubby, lanky blond hair receding, Largo is Draco Malfoy gone to seed. Easily visualised shuffling around Comic Con, accompanied by Mr Kidd and the reformed Jaws. Yet Largo is one of the film’s strengths.

Laughlin reportedly had spent $3.5 million to market the $3.5 million production, having hired John Rubel, assistant secretary of defense under Robert McNamara, to plan the film’s distribution tactics. It's always good to have friends you can count on. However it's even better if you make them up. Whether it's to help you regain control in your life, cope with stress or just offer a well-rounded argument on why the local pimp/drug dealer should be put down like a dog, imaginary friends can be handy.

However, as they are conjured up from the recesses of (often) troubled minds, they do not need to adhere to the rules of the real world and the boundaries of what they can do are only restricted by the limits of their protagonist's imaginations.

Some shows sell themselves, and certainly TNT’s revamp of the iconic primetime sudser Dallas would seem to be one of them. But whoever got paid big bucks to develop the advertising campaign that kicks off Monday in New York City’s Time Square should be fired, pronto.

Chuck Norris may be famous for spending a few years playing Walker, Texas Ranger on CBS, but that wasn't his first, or best, role as one of the Lone Star State's revered lawmen. McQuade was an interesting evolutionary moment in Norris' career -- the film where he went from a clean-cut good guy to the beard-sporting badass he's been ever since. You know all those stupid Chuck Norris jokes the Internet loves so much? Lone Wolf McQuade is the literal embodiment of every one of them. Yet, when you get right down to it, this is a genuinely good action film. Norris plays Texas Ranger J.J. McQuade, a lone wolf cop out to avenge his partner's death and stop a gun smuggler...

Call them "cult classics." "Guilty pleasures." "Comfort movies." We all have a mental rolodex of flicks that may not be terribly popular but, for one reason or another, they resonate in a very special way. Maybe you saw it at the right moment. My favorite superhero film of all time is called "Condorman." You've probably never heard of it. It's not an Oscar-nominated picture. It's not particularly well-liked. It isn't based on a comic book. It isn't available on DVD, at least not in the United States. Until recently, I hadn't even seen it since elementary school. To most, it's the very definition of movie theater trash.

What better place to begin than with Lionsgate's June 16th release of Richard Friedman's Born. Starring Joan Severence, Denise Crosby, and Kane Hodder, it's another one of those demon baby in the womb horror flicks. This time out a virginal 21-year old (Alison Brie) wakes up impregnated by a demon (Hodder, of course); the demonic baby eventually overtakes her mind and sends her on a killing spree. I've come across some reviews of Born online, and let's just say most would have preferred this film to be retitled Abort. Only the best from Lionsgate.

Blu-Ray Rating: 5.0/5.0 Chicago – James Bond continues working his way into your Blu-Ray collection with the release of Volume Three of MGM’s “James Bond Blu-Ray,” which includes HD versions of “The World is Not Enough,” “Goldfinger,” and “Moonraker”. Meanwhile, the unofficial Bond adventure, Fox’s “Never Say Never Again” hits Blu-Ray at the same time. All will make worthwhile additions to 007 fans with Blu-Ray players.

In case you missed it, Volume One of “James Bond Blu-Ray” included “Die Another Day,” “Live And Let Die,” and “Dr. No”. Volume Two includes “For Your Eyes Only,” “From Russia With Love,” and “Thunderball”. Both collections were released last October. With the new volume, that’s nine official Bond movies on Blu-Ray. In other words, there will be more volumes in the future.

The Swiss actress entranced audiences as Honey Ryder in James Bond's 1962 debut, Dr. No, opposite Sean Connery.

She also played Vesper Lynd in 1967 Bond spoof Casino Royale, a role later taken on by Eva Green in the 2006 spy movie.

The superspy franchise, which boasts 22 completed films, has seen close to 100 fiesty females take on the coveted part.

Sexy star Halle Berry tailed the actress in the second spot, after she played Jinx in 2002's Die Another Day opposite Pierce Brosnan.

Basinger got the third spot for her role as Domino Petachi in 1983's Never Say Never Again, in the Moviefone.com survey.
