Hollywood is filled with filmmakers bringing out some of the most magical cinematic pieces out there. However, in this, Christopher Nolan can easily be leaps and bounds ahead of others with projects such as Oppenheimer, Inception, and The Dark Knight trilogy. But apart from this, he has also been a dream candidate to direct a James Bond movie.

For several years, different rumors emerged about his involvement in the franchise, but creative differences and studio constraints all stood in the way. But it seems like Amazon has other plans, and a James Bond movie directed by Nolan might become a reality in the near future.

It’s time to look at the work of one of the greatest directors of our generation: Christopher Nolan. How big is Nolan these days? Interstellar, a movie which was never among the director’s top grossers, hit IMAX screens last week for its tenth anniversary, and screenings have been selling out constantly. The fact is – Nolan makes movies that belong on the big-screen, and he’s one of the few directors who’s arguably become his own franchise. For proof of that, one need only look at the fact that he’s planning a new movie, and the cast is jampacked with A-listers, because Everyone wants to work with Nolan.
A caveat – our Christopher Nolan movies ranked list is just one person’s opinion, and his work is divisive. Everyone has their favourites (and least favourites), so I’m hoping this ranking will open up some discussion in the comments below.

Meryl Streep will be returning as the iconic Miranda Priestly, but there’s still no word on whether Anne Hathaway will reprise her role as Andy Sachs. Rumors are swirling, but no official details have been released yet.
In a recent interview, Stanley Tucci, who played Nigel in the original film, teased that the sequel is in the works but remained tight-lipped about specifics.

Similarly, Emily Blunt, who played Miranda’s assistant Emily, shared a playful comment about the sequel, saying, ‘What sequel? Oh my god, I can’t tell you anything!

Why Didn’t Zendaya attend Oscars 2025? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Over the years, Zendaya has ruled the red carpet with her unique and fashionable looks at every award ceremony. This year, she was missing from the Oscars crowd, and her absence was felt terribly. The 97th Academy Awards, which was held at the Dolby Theatres in Los Angeles on March 2, was a star-studded affair. However, Zendaya skipping the event soon became the talk of the town. Although her movie, Challengers, was shut out from the competition, her other film, Dune: Part Two, received a few nominations.
Dune: Part Two, in which she co-starred with Timothee Chalamet, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, and others, won two awards at the Oscars for Best Sound and Best Visual Effects. Even then, the Euphoria actress didn’t attend the event, and while we don’t know the reason, we can guess that because of her tight schedule,...

How Many People Watched Oscars 2025? (Photo Credit – ABC/Facebook)
The Academy Awards remain a cornerstone of Hollywood’s cultural calendar, celebrating cinematic excellence of the year. Historically, the Oscars have drawn massive audiences, reaching 55 million viewers in 1998. However, recent years have seen wild fluctuations, plummeting to 10.4 million in 2021 amid the pandemic before rebounding to 19.5 million in 2024. Continue scrolling to learn about the statistics of Oscars 2025.
Factors like host appeal, nominee buzz, and streaming integration have fueled this rollercoaster. The 97th Academy Awards drew 18.1 million viewers on ABC, marking a 7% decline from last year’s numbers. This year’s broadcast featured first-time host Conan O’Brien, a well-received performance lineup, and a slate of films that resonated with critics. Hosting the Oscars has always been the trickiest gig in showbiz. Imagine it: You're obliged to preside over a crowd of professionals who are both nervous that they will lose or that they may win and have to give a heartfelt speech that hits all the write notes and thanks all the right people. Only about 20 percent of them will leave carrying a trophy. The other 80 percent will cart off only disappointment. As the host, it's your job to make them laugh — or at least make them think about something other than the fact this is The Biggest Night of Their Lives when either massive success or utter failure will come calling. Even if you're impossibly charming and hilarious, much of their mind will be someplace else.

Did Mikey Madison win an Oscar for portraying a prostitute in Anora? (Photo Credit – AnoraFilm Instagram)
The 2025 Academy Awards came and went in a whirlwind, forging legacies for a slew of talents, though it’s the newcomers who galvanize the most intrigue with their ties to the golden statuette. Amid the night’s fervor, one victory stood out — a triumph that spotlights both a fresh face and a storied trope.
Mikey Madison, the 25-year-old dynamo from Anora, seized her first Oscar for Best Actress, outpacing The Substance’s Demi Moore in a twist few had prognosticated. The win, flanked by Anora’s haul of Best Picture, Director, and more, incentivized a floodlight on her nascent Hollywood path.

A series adaptation of “Crazy Rich Asians” is in development at Max. Adele Lim, who co-wrote the 2018 film, has been set as showrunner and executive producer, while director Jon M. Chu will also return to executive produce.
Like the film, the TV project is based on Kevin Kwan’s book series of the same name. “Crazy Rich Asians” was published in 2013, followed by “China Rich Girlfriend” in 2015 and “Rich People Problems” in 2017. Kwan executive produced Lim and Chu’s 2018 film and will also executive produce the Max series, for which Warner Bros TV is the studio.
It is not yet known whether the series will feature returning cast members from the film.
Besides “Crazy Rich Asians,” Lim is best known for 2023’s “Joy Ride,” her directorial debut feature via Lionsgate. She also wrote Disney’s 2021 film “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Currently, she is directing and producing “The Princess Diaries 3” with Anne Hathaway,...

Kate Hudson was embarrassed when she didn’t recognize two key songs from her best-known movies on Thursday in the latest edition of Kelly Clarkson’s name-that-song game “Throw Me a Line.”
The actress and singer, who next stars in the Netflix series “Running Point,” was late to identify “You’re So Vain,” which she sang in the the 2003 romcom “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” and Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer,” which was pivotal to Cameron Crowe’s 2000 rock ‘n’ roll dramedy “Almost Famous.”
“Oh my god!” Hudson exclaimed when she realized she’s missed “Tiny Dancer.”
“That’s like the most famous scene in the movie and you f–ked it up!” Clarkson gloated, pointing in her face.

Before Jesse Eisenberg’s “A Real Pain” heads into Oscars weekend with two nominations following a fruitful awards season as a critical darling for Searchlight Pictures, who acquired the film during a late-night bidding war following the Sundance premiere, it’s hard to believe the film was turned down by nearly every single distributor they approached originally.
In the wake of those “discouraging” rejections, Eisenberg, who also stars in the film alongside Kieran Culkin, decided to try out the independent financing route through Topic Studios, whose previous films include “Spencer,” “Roman J. Israel, Esq.,” “Theater Camp,” “Leave No Trace,” the Best Picture Oscar winner “Spotlight” and many more.
“When we met Topic, it was such a great relief, because they loved the movie. They understood that the tone was unusual, and they appreciated the movie for what it is, as opposed to questioning it or wanting it to be something different,...

From ‘Babygirl’ to ‘Bridget Jones,’ How Women Are Taking Control in May-December Romances

If it feels like you’ve seen a lot of movies lately where women are dating much younger men, well, it’s because you have. The latest is “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” now streaming on Peacock, where in her fourth and likely final outing, Renée Zellweger’s new love interest is played by 26-years-younger star of “The White Lotus,” Leo Woodall.
But Bridget is not alone. Last year saw the release of “The Idea of You,” in which Anne Hathaway’s character falls in love with a pop star 16 years her junior (played by Nicholas Galitzine); “A Family Affair,” where Nicole Kidman falls in love with a man also 16 years her junior; “Lonely Planet,” which sees Laura Dern fall for Liam Hemsworth, who is 23 years younger than her; and “Babygirl,” wherein Kidman once again plays a character who falls for a man 24 years younger than her. And of course the 2023 Todd Haynes film,...

Whether dropping in on his own lookalike contest in downtown Manhattan or hanging out with the marching band at the University of Minnesota, Dylan’s home state, Chalamet has shown off his sense of humor and slightly bro-y bonhomie, throwing himself into a “Saturday Night Live” hosting stint and chatting college football like any co-ed who spends his weekends glued to ESPN. Before the last week of January, and for the second year in a row, the Best Supporting Actress Oscar race did not look like a race. Zoe Saldaña was the runaway favorite in the Gold Derby odds to take home the statuette on March 2, even despite the controversy around her film, and it feels like a tall order for Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Ariana Grande (Wicked), Felicity Jones (The Brutalist), and Isabella Rossellini (Conclave) to overtake the Emilia Pérez star. Kate Hudson recently spoke about turning down a role in The Devil Wears Prada, saying she regrets not adjusting her schedule to take the part. Speaking on Capital FM, she shared that she was originally approached to play Andy Sachs, the assistant to a high-profile fashion editor, a role that later went to Anne Hathaway.
“That was a bad call. And it was like a timing thing,” Hudson said. “It was one of those things where I couldn’t do it, and I should’ve made it happen, and I didn’t.”
She recalled watching the film and realizing she had missed out. “That was one where when I saw it I was like, ugh. But again, everything happens for a reason. That was a real like, ‘I should’ve made that work.’”

The Devil Wears Prada could have had quite a different casting. On Friday, Kate Hudson revealed to Capital FM’s Capital Breakfast that she made the “bad call” of passing on the role of Andrea Sachs from the 2006 film.
“That was a bad call,” Hudson said of her decision. “It was a timing thing, it was one of those things where I couldn’t do it, and I should’ve made it happen, and I didn’t.”
“That was one where when I saw it I was like, ‘Ugh,'” she added.

Next July is going to be a big month for Tom Holland. Not only will the actor be reprising the role of Peter Parker for Spider-Man 4, but he’ll also be starring alongside Matt Damon in Christoper Nolan’s The Odyssey. The two films were previously slated to hit theaters within a week of one another, but Sony Pictures has shifted the release date for Spider-Man 4, pushing the film back to July 31, 2026. That’s now two weeks after The Odyssey is due to hit theaters on July 17th.
That’s still mighty close, but it does provide a little more breathing room between the two movies. We don’t know much about Spider-Man 4 at this point, only that Holland will be returning and that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will be taking the helm. In October, Holland said the script was coming along nicely.

Sony has nudged the release for Tom Holland’s fourth “Spider-Man” installment by one week, shifting it from July 24, 2026 to a new date of July 31, 2026. That now positions the Marvel entry for launch two weeks after Universal’s July 17, 2026 release of “The Odyssey,” Christopher Nolan’s next film which also stars Holland.
Along with giving Holland some breathing room from opening two prospective blockbusters within a week of one another, the adjustment also has key repercussions for exhibitor operations. Before Sony’s scheduling change, the next live-action “Spider-Man” would have released just one week after “The Odyssey.” That film continues Nolan’s decades-long relationship with Imax, shooting with the company’s powerful cameras and negotiating a dedicated theatrical window in its premium auditoriums. Presumably, Sony is also looking to release the new “Spider-Man” to Imax and other premium large format screens, as it has with its previous Marvel Comics adaptations.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is going to take slightly longer to swing into theaters.
Sony Pictures announced Friday that the Marvel superhero’s next feature is now set for theatrical release on July 31, 2026, a week later than previously scheduled. Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is helming the movie that is currently untitled.
This change gives the project extra distance from the release of director Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and hits theaters July 17, 2026. Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and Charlize Theron round out the star-studded cast for Universal’s feature adaptation of Homer’s epic poem.
Also currently set for release on July 31, 2026, is Paramount’s animated feature Paw Patrol 3.
Holland was last seen onscreen as the heroic web-slinger in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which surpassed $1.9 billion at the global box office.

Kate Hudson admitted on the “Capital Breakfast” radio show (via Entertainment Weekly) that turning down “The Devil Wears Prada” was “a bad call.” Before Anne Hathaway was cast as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, director David Frankel met with the likes of Hudson, Rachel McAdams, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst.
“That was a bad call. It was a timing thing, it was one of those things where I couldn’t do it, and I should’ve made it happen, and I didn’t,” Hudson said, all these years later. “That was one where when I saw it I was like, ‘Ugh.'”
Hudson maintained that “everything happens for a reason,” but she still admitted that she “should’ve made that work.” The movie, which was a box office hit with $327 million and a two-time Oscar nominee, remains one of Hathaway’s most iconic roles.
