In 1992, Maike Both moved from Germany to the United States to work for an L.A. based music artist management company. A year later, she switched to a career in the film industry, working predominantly as a set decoration buyer. In 1994, she became a member of IATSE Local 44.
Parallel to working in production, Maike is involved in charity work. In 2013 she founded the non-profit A Million Drops, making a difference in the lives of homeless and at-risk young adults in Hollywood.
Her career in the film industry has been helping her greatly in building a strong network, and since 2013, Maike and her team have organized numerous local and global events, including fundraisers and donation drives, as well as programs, such as free laundry vouchers and free haircuts, and art shows featuring works by young, at-risk artists.
