Dave Allen founded the band Gang of Four with Hugo Burnham and Andy Gill and
Jon King in 1977. Allen left the group in 1981 to form the band
Shriekback with Barry Andrews from XTC. Shriekback released numerous albums
and its music appears in films such as Manhunter (1986) and Band of the Hand (1986) and Free Enterprise (1998)
as well. Dave Allen has performed in many other bands such as The Crash
Baptists, The Elastic Purejoy, King Swamp, Noise Abroad, and The Squall
Collective. Dave was also the President and co-owner of World
Domination Records and later the Director of Intel's Consumer Digital
Audio Services Operation.
