- Retired from the screen in 1965 when she and her husband, writer/TV host George J.W. Goodman (aka Adam Smith) moved to Princeton. She taught theater for over 20 years at nearby Rider College and occasionally directed student productions at Princeton University.
- Studied at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1950.
- Grandmother, Mrs. William Henry Brophy, donated $250,000 and 25 acres of land north of Phoenix, Arizona, to establish a Jesuit educational institution in her Grandfather's memory. The William Henry Brophy College (now Brophy College Preparatory) opened in September 1928. It is a highly regarded high school in Phoenix.
