Pia Di Ciaula ACE, CCE is a BAFTA winning film editor best known for editing Tyrannosaur, The Crown and A Very English Scandal.
Pia is originally from Toronto, based in the UK and holds Canadian and Italian passports. Pia won a BAFTA Award along with RTS and CCE nominations for editing the critically acclaimed mini-series, A Very English Scandal, directed by Stephen Frears and starring Hugh Grant.
Pia also won a CCE Award and further BAFTA nomination for editing the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning Netflix series The Crown, directed by three time Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Stephen Daldry.
Feature credits include the critically acclaimed and multi award-winning films Tyrannosaur and Journeyman, both by actor/writer/director Paddy Considine. Other credits include Belle, Terence Davies' A Quiet Passion, Francois Girard's Silk, and Hugh Hudson's Altamira.
Pia received a Gemini Award Nomination for Best Editing on Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story. She received two Genie Award Nominations for Best Editing Intimate Relations starring Julie Walters, and Regeneration starring Jonathan Pryce. She collaborated with Gillies MacKinnon on seven films including Hideous Kinky with Kate Winslet, Pure with Keira Knightley, and The Last of the Blonde Bombshells winning Judi Dench a Golden Globe and a BAFTA.
Pia's recent films include William Nicholson's Hope Gap, starring Bill Nighy, Annette Bening and Josh O'Connor, as well as Gregor Jordan's Dirt Music, starring Kelly Macdonald, Garrett Hedlund and David Wenham. Hope Gap and Dirt Music will have World Premieres at TIFF 2019, followed by LFF.
