Kim’s initial encounters with Breillat films are A Real Young Girl (Une Vraie Jeune Fille) and then 36 Fillette. We also touch on Kim’s latest work with French choreographer Dimitri Chamblas, Ed’s copy of the mastered cassette of their second album Bad Moon Rising Sonic Youth dropped off at 99, and a word on Brooks Headley’s Superiority Burger.

French singer Barbara Weldens died unexpectedly while performing onstage during a concert in her native France Wednesday night. She was 35. The cause of her death remains unknown and is speculated to be electrocution, as she performed barefoot, or cardiac arrest. An investigation has been opened and an autopsy will be performed, according to La Parisien. She was performing in a church in the French village of Goudron as part of the Léo Ferré Festival when she collapsed onstage, local reports stated. Up-and-coming French singer Barbara Weldens reportedly collapsed and died in the middle of a concert at a festival. She was 35. According to the BBC, the cause of death remains unclear, although one local media report claims she was electrocuted. Police are investigating the cause of death and are refusing to speculate. According to The Independent, a spokesman said that they “will see in the next weeks if a re-evaluation” is necessary. Weldens was on stage in the village of Goudron in the south-west area of France when she suffered a cardiac arrest. She was performing as part of the Leo Ferre festival.
