In the news of the fallout from Angus T. Jones bashing Two and a Half Men, he has apologized for seeming ungrateful to the show, the cast, and the crew in a statement no doubt written by his managers. Meanwhile, Charlie Sheen has weighed in with a short statement that packs a lot of punch, “With Angus’s Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed.”
Cate Blanchett is set to star in the live action production of Cinderella as the Evil Stepmother that Disney has had in development for nearly three years.
Carnival Cruises has apologized and backtracked on a rule that guests attending their Drag Queen Cruise would not be allowed to dress in drag themselves, and that only the stars from RuPaul's Drag Race would be allowed to dress up. They're blaming it on a miscommunication, along with rules since 9/11 requiring guests...

I can’t believe another Comic-Con is almost upon us. That whole, odd, everything goes faster when you are older thing really is rather annoying. Not that I don’t like Cc… it’s a fairly mind boggling event when you think about it… it’s just that I could have sworn I was just there.
This year is going to be different for two reasons. One, for the first part of the festival, I’ll get to show the insanity off to Timo Descamps and Danny De Jong. It’s going to be their last look at America for the year; they wing their way home to Belgium from San Diego. They already think we Americans are a bit… unique. It will be interesting to hear their opinions after they see throngs of armored, light-saber weilding, Pikachu’s dancing with thong-clad Skeletors and leather-bra wearing Conans.

The Lambda Literary Foundation revealed their finalists for the 23rd Annual Lambda Literary Awards today, and two Northwest Press books were among them. Jon Macy’s Teleny and Camille is a finalist for Gay Erotica and Justin Hall’s Glamazonia: The Uncanny Super-Tranny is a finalist for Transgender Fiction. The Awards celebrate annual achievement in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (Lgbt) writing.
“I’m so proud of Jon and Justin for having their work recognized in such a major way,” said Northwest Press publisher Charles “Zan” Christensen. “For a small publisher who’s happy enough just to be doing something he loves, to have these books honored as finalists for a Lammy is so encouraging and gratifying.”
“I’m thrilled with this nomination!” said Hall. “A tremendous amount of work went into creating the Glamazonia book, and it’s wonderful when that pays off in a big way. I’d...

A friend of mine clued me in to this monster photo that was taken of her and her husband, called Frankenstein’s Car Troubles. Justin Hall is the photographer behind these hyper-real images with a liberal dose of humor. I love the fact that even though the images are so heightened they’re unreal, he still manages to capture the essential humanity of all his subjects–monster or not. I’m hoping for more photos in this series, but for now we also have this image–à la Teen Wolf. Please visit Justin’s website to see his amazing portraits. Which one is your favorite?
