Dave's cinematic journey commenced when he embarked on a job at a movie theater after high school. It was within the darkened auditoriums, while screening award-winning films like "Braveheart" and "The Shawshank Redemption," that he discovered his calling and decided to pursue a career in film.
His dedication to the craft led him to earn a degree in Cinema and TV Arts from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Immediately after graduation, Dave entered the entertainment industry, primarily working in camera and lighting roles. His early career saw him contributing to various productions, including serving as a camera operator for the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2004 NBA All-Star Game, as well as working as a Gaffer on numerous independent feature films.

He also made contributions as a Gaffer on TV shows such as "Insecure," "Homeland," "Westworld," and "Reasonable Doubt."
Throughout his career, Dave sought to expand his horizons, delving into writing, directing, and producing. Recent highlights include producing and directing numerous commercials and music videos. Recognizing the vibrant spirit of independent filmmaking, Dave founded the Santa Barbara Indie Film Festival in 2023. This festival serves as a testament to his commitment to providing emerging filmmakers with a platform to showcase their cinematic art. The inaugural festival was a resounding success and is already accepting submissions for the upcoming year.
Dave's creative journey continues to evolve, with exciting projects in development. He is actively engaged in the production and co-direction of the TV reality show "Rickshaw Romance" and the production and direction of "Call Out."
