William Hopkins is a New York-based independent filmmaker who has written, directed and edited two horror films: Demon Resurrection (2008) and Sleepless Nights (2022). He also penned the script for Children of the Night, a vampire thriller produced by Columbia Pictures and Fangoria Films in 1991 which featured Karen Black and Garrett Morris in the lead roles.
While studying at the School of Visual Arts in NYC in the 1980s, Hopkins worked in various capacities for Cinema 5, at the time the leading art-house theater chain in the city.
In recent years, Hopkins has been a frequent guest on the Youtube series, A Podcast From Beyond, where he shares his thoughts on classic horror, science-fiction and fantasy films.
