Exclusive: Lincoln Child’s New York Times bestselling book series Jeremy Logan, is being put into feature development at Amazon MGM Studios with Safehouse Pictures producing.

Jeremy Lott and Cory Goodman are writing the script. The film will follow Jeremy Logan who is a self-proclaimed “enigmatologist,” an investigator who works to debunk the paranormal and unexplained using modern science. The Jeremy Logan books include the Child’s novels Deep Storm, Terminal Freeze, The Third Gate, The Forgotten Room, Full Wolf Moon, and Chrysalis.

The film will fall under Safehouse Pictures’ first-look film deal with the studio, with Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell producing.

Goodman and Lott are currently adapting the comic series Proof for Fox. They have also landed several seven-figure spec deals including Lore for Warner Bros. starring Dwayne Johnson, and Hood for Sony with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. Luxury fashion brand Mackage has snagged Charlie Hunnam for its newest campaign.

The veteran actor stars opposite model Stella Maxwell — back for her second consecutive year as the face of Mackage — while wearing items from the brand’s spring/summer 2025 collection. Mackage, founded by Eran Elfassy in 1999, focuses on collections featuring fine leathers, down and wool with “signature tailored silhouettes, dramatic styling, and precision detail,” per the brand. Much of those are on display in both the print and video portions of the campaign that find the two outfitted in a mix of finely-tailored outerwear like leather bombers, wool jackets and quilted coats. He’s also featured in precision loungewear like sweatpants and luxe hoodies.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story has proven to be another success for Ryan Murphy, so work has now been rolling on the third season of the Monsters series for the big streamer. It was announced somewhat recently that Charlie Hunnam would star in Monsters season 3 as Ed Gein, and Netflix has revealed that Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander, and Olivia Williams will be joining him. Laurie Metcalf will play Augusta Wilhelmine Gein, Ed Gein’s mother, while Tom Hollander will play iconic director Alfred Hitchcock, and Olivia Williams will play Alma Reville, Alfred’s wife.

Deadline is now reporting that season 3 has now added actress Suzanna Son, known for Red Rocket and HBO’s The Idol, as a series regular. Per Deadline, “Son is a trained pianist, dancer and vocalist who made her acting debut opposite Simon Rex in Sean Baker’s Red Rocket, which was released in theaters by A24.

Exclusive: Ryan Murphy’s latest installment of his Netflix Monster anthology series, has cast Suzanna Son in a series regular role, sources tell Deadline.

Although details regarding who she will play and the Season 3 plot are under wraps, it will focus on suspected serial killer Ed Gein, to be portrayed by Charlie Hunnam. Known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul, Gein confessed to murdering two women in the 1950s and also allegedly made trophies out of bodies and skin of corpses he exhumed from graveyards. Gein’s story inspired the Leatherface character in Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

For a long, long time, Hollywood had relegated Zack Snyder to a somewhat diminished status as a director for his previously difficult experiences with Warner Bros. Both his attempts at adapting comic books to live-action films had been deemed a severe failure of creative and artistic sensibilities. Yet, the films in question – Watchmen and Dceu – raised an army of fans who have been unwavering in their fealty to Snyder.

Guillermo del Toro has had a somewhat similar experience in the industry as well. The director, famously known for his love for the bizarre, has nearly 20 fully-developed scripts in his possession that were never made into a movie. Despite his Oscar-winning credentials and unique artistic vision, Hollywood has hardly done right by del Toro.

However, even beyond their underappreciated vision as auteurs, there is a singular quality that unifies both Snyder and del Toro under one creative umbrella.

I mean, it’s Nolan taking on Homer! But here’s the thing – the more I think about it, the more this knot in my stomach grows. Sure, we’ve got this incredible cast and Nolan’s track record speaks for itself, but something’s nagging at me.

Maybe it’s my inner literary-film nerd overthinking things, but I’ve got some serious concerns about whether this epic adventure will connect with today’s audiences the way Oppenheimer did. Let me break it down for you.

Netflix has quite a large slate of new and returning series coming in 2025. The slate was previewed Wednesday at the streamer’s annual Next on Netflix event in Los Angeles, which was also streamed across the globe.

Some of the most anticipated projects include Stranger Things 5 and Wednesday Season 2, neither of which have premiere dates just yet. So far, Netflix has revealed a huge slate for February, as well as a smattering of series that are expected through August, but a large portion of the series the streamer says we’ll see this year haven’t been confirmed for a specific date yet.

Of the dates that were revealed, perhaps the biggest surprise is that the third and final season of Squid Game is coming sooner than audiences might have anticipated, premiering on June 27. June will also bring another season of Ginny & Georgia.

The 44-year-old Sons of Anarchy actor sported a bloody face as he arrived on set to film scenes for season three of Ryan Murphy‘s Netflix anthology series Monster on Friday (January 24) in Los Angeles.

Charlie was seen wearing an olive-green shirt with brown pants as he got into character as serial killer Ed Gein.

Gein was known as the “Butcher of Plainfield.” He famously exhumed the bodies of dead people from local graveyards and made all sorts of items out of the skin and bones of the corpses. He also confessed to killing two women.

Fans of Sons of Anarchy should check out Netflix's new miniseries American Primeval because of Kim Coates. Sons of Anarchy aired on FX from 2008 to 2014. All seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy were critically-acclaimed, and the show currently has a score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes (via Rotten Tomatoes). Sons of Anarchy follows the members of a motorcycle gang which operates in the fictional town of Charming, California. The cast of Sons of Anarchy includes Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Theo Rossi, Maggie Siff, Ryan Hurst, and the aforementioned Coates.

Several actors from the show have gone on to have impressive careers in Hollywood following the conclusion of Sons of Anarchy. Hunnam, for example, has starred in movies like King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and The Gentlemen. Rossi has also appeared in several projects, such as Netflix's hit Christmas action movie Carry-On and the critically-acclaimed DC show The Penguin.

Pacific Rim Uprising did not live up to the expectations set by the original film helmed by Guillermo del Toro, and while many were disappointed with how the project panned out, you’ll be more devastated to find out that we almost had Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams in the sequel film.

Her co-stars in the show include Jamie Lee Curtis (who also produced the show with Jason Blum), as well as the great Chris Diamantopoulos, who’s been in loads of stuff over the years, including The Office, Silicon Valley, the movie version of The Three Stooges (he was Moe), Red One, and much more. Nicholas Hoult continues to rise as one of the most exciting young actors in Hollywood, and while he has some exciting projects on the horizon, he has already built a strong career for himself. Hoult has been around for a while, considering his recognition came fairly early with the 2002 Hugh Grant comedy-drama, About a Boy. Since then, Hoult has starred in both independent features and big-budget blockbusters, finding success in most of them.

At only 32, his filmography is already filled with some of the best movies of the last 20 years. He has appeared in smaller independent movies while also taking part in some big franchise movies. He has played the heroic lead the audience roots for and has been just as effective as the chilling villain. With a number of high-profile movies on the horizon, including playing Lex Luthor in James Gunn's Superman, it is a perfect time to look back on Hoult's career.

It’s not an easy feat to craft a completely original sci-fi story. The genre has been around for years, after all, arguably since British author Mary Shelley published Frankenstein back in 1818. A lot of great sci-fi movies, books, and TV shows that have come out since then have left their mark, so much so that their echoes can be found in every corner of this particular genre still to this day.

Still, the fact that a sci-fi TV show or movie isn’t exactly as original as it could be doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not high quality, or that it doesn’t have anything to add to the larger sci-fi scene. There have been plenty of great stories that have taken their inspiration from pre-existing properties and added their own twist to it, amassing accolades and dedicated fans in the process.

“Next Life” tells the love story of Ivy (Emilia Clarke), who finds herself confronted with parallel universes in which her life unspools in very different ways set against the modern London jazz scene.

Mutressa’s Elika Portnoy, Gleb Fetisov of Fetisoff Illusion and 42’s Ben Pugh and Kate Buckley are producing alongside Doremus. John Palfery Smith will also produce. Production is currently underway in London and set to wrap in late December. CAA Media Finance is representing worldwide rights.

Nearly 10 years after Sons of Anarchy's conclusion, Charlie Hunnam is finally starting to get promising roles after his performance as Jax Teller in the FX series. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Charlie Hunnam fatefully dipped his feet in acting after he was discovered by a production manager when he was 17. Soon after, he landed his first major role in Queer as Folk when he was 18, paving the way for him to explore bigger opportunities in film and television.

After playing myriad roles in several relatively lower-budget films and TV shows, Hunnam got his big break when he got the opportunity to play Jax Teller in FX's Sons of Anarchy. The critically acclaimed series soon made him a household name, highlighting his potential as a leading man. Strangely, however, even though Hunnam has played diverse roles in several renowned movie franchises and shows since Sons of Anarchy, none have been as iconic as Jax Teller.

The photos were taken this week at a movie theater in Los Angeles, where it indicated the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie was being played. Perhaps the script sees serial killer Ed Gein watching the horror film.

Gein was known as the “Butcher of Plainfield.” He famously exhumed the bodies of dead people from local graveyards and made all sorts of items out of the skin and bones of the corpses. He also confessed to killing two women.

The first season of the show starred Evan Peters as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and the second season follows the Menendez brothers, who killed their parents. They are both available to stream on Netflix now.

Real-life serial killers have inspired countless films and TV shows. For instance, "Psycho," "The Texas Chainsaw Saw Massacre," and "The Silence of the Lambs" are all downstream from Ed Gein, the Wisconsin factotum who committed murder, grave robbery, and other grisly crimes during the mid-1950s. These may be great films but they are all strictly inspired by serial killers rather than about them. This article considers those films that depict killers' lives close to how they were rather than creating composite characters and other inventions. It also includes films that may not be entirely faithful to the historical record but are compelling enough to give an insight into real-world killers and their crimes.

These movies aim to capture balanced insight into their subjects. Some, like "Monster," show how abuse begets abuse, whereas others, such as "Citizen X," reflect how prejudice and ideology can allow a criminal to kill unchecked.

Sometimes I feel like it's so obvious to us viewers that a television show is bad or unncessary, and we wonder how it honestly could have been approved and made. Especially with all the hoops writers, producers, and the team have to go through to get a season order sometimes. But you know, sometimes there's just some bad TV that comes out, and we live with it. Here's 4 Netflix shows from 2024 that we think shouldn't have happened.

Not to be rude, but Unstable as a show in the first place shouldn't have happened. And the series definitely should not have gotten a season 2 at Netflix. Right from the start, this comedy was not funny at all. And to be quite frank, pretty boring. I'm a big fan of Rob Lowe so I got excited about this project, especially since the actor stars in it with his real-life son.

Eiza Gonzalez and Phoebe Dynevor were among the stars who stepped out to attend the event on Saturday night (December 7) at a private residence in Los Angeles.

Some of the other stars in attendance included Kiernan Shipka, Heather Graham, Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, Lukas Gage, Frank Grillo, and Lance Bass.

While not photographed, we can also report that Charlie Hunnam, Brett Goldstein, Taye Diggs, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jay Harrington, Haim, Finneas, director Cameron Crowe, and Alexandra Shipp were all there as well.

Charlie Hunnam will play one of America’s most known serial killers in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s anthology series “Monster,” providing viewers with a disturbing insight into Ed Gein’s life.

First-look photos show Hunnam’s stunning change. He recreates Gein’s 1950s demeanor with period-appropriate attire and a gray-tinted haircut. The actor walks comfortably on a city sidewalk, conversing with a police officer, his faint smile indicating the character’s depth.

BBC Sets Feature On Fire At Bradford Soccer Match

The BBC is making a feature doc about a tragic fire at a Bradford soccer match that preceded the Hillsborough disaster. On the 40th anniversary of the tragedy, the BBC said Unforgotten: The Bradford City Fire (working title) will provide “the definitive record of a forgotten tragedy, as told through the compelling personal testimony of those who were there, many of whom speak here for the first time.” The fire is believed to have been started by a discarded cigarette or match at half time of Bradford City’s game with Lincoln City in 1985. The number of lives lost reached 56 and the event made headlines around the world but has since been somewhat forgotten, overshadowed by the Hillsborough disaster that took place four years later. Simon Young, BBC Head of Commissioning, History, said: “This film gets at the heart of a modern dilemma.

The ten-episode series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (read our review Here) was such a huge success for the Netflix streaming service back in 2022 that Netflix ordered two more seasons of the show from its creators, Ian Brennan and American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story was recently released, and has had quite an impact on the real lives of the title characters… and right before that season premiered in September, it was announced that Sons of Anarchy‘s Charlie Hunnam had signed on to play murderer and graverobber Ed Gein in Monster season 3. As it turns out, Monster season 3 (which is apparently called The Original Monster) was very close to starting production when that announcement was made, because Hunnam has now been spotted on the set of the show in his Gein wardrobe!

A new image from the set of Monster season 3 reveals the first look at Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam as the infamous serial killer Ed Gein. Following the big success of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, which debuted on Netflix in September, it was announced that season 3 would focus on the killer Ed Gein. The third installment of the true-crime anthology is currently titled The Original Monster, with a supporting cast that so far includes Laurie Metcalf as Ed Geins mother, Tom Hollander as Alfred Hitchcock, and Olivia Williams as Alma Hitchcock.

AHS Zone shared a photo of Hunnam on X, which appears to show the actor smiling on the set of the Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan-created anthology. The photo is accompanied by a real-life, black-and-white image of Gein. In the set photo, Hunnam looks somewhat aged. He has short, gray hair which is combed over.

The world of Sons of Anarchy expanded with the spinoff TV series Mayans M.C., and thanks to it, one Sons of Anarchy character appeared in more episodes than Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam). Sons of Anarchy arrived in 2008 to take the audience to the fictional town of Charming, California, to meet the title motorcycle club, led by President Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) and VP Jackson Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam). Sons of Anarchy focused on Jaxs efforts to bring his late fathers vision for the club to life, but he ended up having to change this plan.

Jax also wanted to keep the club afloat while also dealing with a lot of family trauma, which led him to make some questionable decisions throughout Sons of Anarchy. Jax and Samcro earned many enemies over the years, going from the leaders of other gangs and clubs to Atf agents and more.
