Colin Lainchbury-Brown is a British actor born in Croydon, Surrey, United Kingdom. Before completing 1 year of study at Rose Bruford College, he had already assembled a strong CV in Theatre,Film, TV & Voice Over. A relatively late starter his first engagement was as part of the ensemble in Simon Callow's multi-award winning production of Oscar Hammerstein II's Carmen Jones at The Old Vic in London's West End. In the Spring of 1992 he joined an opera company to perform a new piece, "Red Rubber", about the Belgian Congo, commissioned by the European Cultural Festival and directed by Alexander Steyermark (Long time Musical Supervisor to Spike Lee.) Other Theatre, TV and film roles followed including "The Bill", East Enders, Trial & Retribution (Lynda La Plante) On The Eight Ball (Charlie Harris) and Jesus Christ Superstar(Gale Edwards.) He was reunited with Simon Callow for the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Les Enfants Du Paradis (1998) In 2006, Colin accompanied Robbie Williams as part of his "Close Encounters Tour." Colin has been based in Berlin since 2007 and free-lancing in a combination of Film, Voice Over, Music & Comedy with his wife, world renowned cellist & comedienne, Rebecca Carrington (daughter of founding King's singer Simon Carrington) as the multi-award winning duo Carrington-Brown. His latest project is as the iconic Announcer Hyperbowl in the award winning film (Best Director Leos Carax at The Cannes Film Festival 2021) "Annette."
