The opening show of S Club‘s long-awaited 25th-anniversary reunion tour was as much a celebration of their time together as it was a celebration of Paul Cattermole, the longtime member of the British pop group who died earlier this year from an underlying heart condition at the age of 46.
Kicking off the tour in Manchester at Ao Arena, the group — now a five-piece following the death of Cattermole in April and the departure of singer Hannah Spearrit — reunited for the first time in eight years. On stage, they took...

S Club has released their first single in 20 years in tribute to their bandmate Paul Cattermole, who died in April at the age of 46. The single, titled "These Are the Days," honors Cattermole, and the song's music video sees the band look through a photo album full of memories of their career.
The group, formerly called S Club 7 but later rebranded S Club, felt Cattermole's presence when shooting the video. "There was a butterfly. We were all sat down and a butterfly came from nowhere. It was a really bright, beautiful butterfly which flew down and went off," Tina Barrett told The Sun. "I don't know why, but I just thought, 'That's Paul.' It came from nowhere." Rachel Stevens added: "There's little signs of Paul everywhere. On the video shoot, there was a vinyl coaster and it said 'Good Times' on it.

"There is a place where all fictional characters meet. Outside of time, Outside of all logic, This place is known as Hell'S Club, But this club is not safe."
Last year, Antonio Maria da Silva posted "Hell's Club," a nine-minute short in which - through slick editing and visual effects - had screen characters from multiple decades and hundreds of films coming together on screen in one giant nightclub.
Today, he's back with the even more ambitious sequel. Clocking in at 17 minutes, it's a piece that includes four James Bonds, two Carries, two T-800s, characters played by the same actors and the weirdest combinations of iconic screen characters from multiple decades - resulting in some moments you never thought you'd see (like Blade being killed by an Alien xenomorph).

Hannah Spearritt prefers acting to singing nowadays. The 34-year-old beauty may have shot into the limelight as a member of S Club 7 in 1999 but she has admitted her passion for music has taken a backseat over the past few years and she now sees herself as an actress rather than a singer. She said: ''I just love acting. It's what I was about really. I used to do a lot of theatre and when I was 13, I did a lot of National Youth Theatre shows, so obviously with that I was doing a lot of singing, acting and dancing.

Who came up with the idea that we're supposed to feel guilty about the films, TV shows and music that we like?
Every now and then, I emerge from the Den Of Geek shed and take a mooch around other websites and publications. I tend to like them a lot. There’s nothing to keep us and me on our toes more than seeing the wonderful work being done around the internet. Because there is lots of it.
There’s also, though, a breed of article I’m decreasingly keen on. Anything that starts with ‘x reasons why this will be that’, or ‘why so and so will suck’. The content of said articles may be great, but the whole approach tends to put me off.
Yet there’s nothing on guilty pleasures, a phrase that, to my mind, seems invented by playground bullies to try and...

Hannah Spearritt thinks it'll be ''amazing'' if she's asked to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing' later this year. The former S Club 7 singer would love to snap up a deal to take part on the Ballroom and Latin show when it returns to screens in September because she enjoys dressing up. She said: ''Oh my God, 'Strictly Come Dancing' is amazing. It's kind of got better and better over time. It's kind of overtaken 'X Factor.' The standard is incredible. That would totally be amazing. It would be so much fun. I can't imagine actually being able to do it.

Hannah Spearritt is set to play a penniless ''drug addict'' on the run from the law when she joins 'Casualty' this month. The former S Club 7 singer, 34, has signed up to portray single mother Mercedes Christie in the BBC One medical drama and has warned that her alter-ego will touch a nerve with viewers after her hard outer shell starts to crumble. She said: ''She's really exciting to play. She's a little bit of a drug addict. She's recently - like in the last five months - split up with her boyfriend for reasons to do with debt. So...

Stayin' aliiive! Everyone has probably seen this already, but it's worth watching again (and again) because it's just so awesome. This video mash-up called Hell's Club came out a few months ago and everyone who sees it goes crazy for it. It's a 7-minute video editing badass footage and cool clips and memorable scenes of characters from all kinds of different movies into one big mash-up. Featuring characters from Star Wars, Scarface, John Wick, Collateral, Terminator, Trainspotting, Saturday Night Fever and many other movies meeting up at the Hell's Club. It's impressively edited and all the footage fits together quite well. Have fun! Description from YouTube: "There is a place where all fictional characters meet. Outside of time, Outside of all logic, This place is known as Hell'S Club, But this club is not safe." Watch out for that big robot dude. "Terminator versus Tony Montana versus Tom Cruise...

Strictly Come Dancing is now into its fourth week and the competition is really hotting up, with an incredibly close leaderboard.
Digital Spy was watching along and have rounded up all of the scores and judges' comments below:
1. Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko dancing the samba to 'Hips Don't Lie by Shakira: 6+7+7+7=27
Len: "Your hips certainly don't lie. A little bit long getting started but once you got into it… I thought you coped very well. I think it could have been better leg action, but I'm being pernickety."
Bruno: "That was warming up nicely. The samba has a carefree feel to it, but a couple of times there you got a little tangled and it kind of stopped it a little bit. The technique is actually very very hard. It was a bit on and off."
2. Daniel O'Donnell & Kristina Rihanoff dancing the American Smooth to 'Fly Me To The Moon...

Robert De Niro has 'done a Robert Downey Jr' by storming out of an interview, complaining of "negative inference" in the questions.
The Hollywood great was promoting new movie The Intern when he didn't like the choice of questions from Radio Times journalist Emma Brockes. He walked out after being asked about Tribeca being overrun by bankers and how he avoids falling into "autopilot" during filming.

Brockes claims that he asked her to pause her Dictaphone and started "pacing madly" before ending the interview, saying that there was too much "negative inference" to her questions.

Holly birthday, Happyoaks! Sorry, let's try that again. Happy birthday, Hollyoaks! That's better.
It's often written off as the runt of the soap litter, but we're rather affectionate towards Hollyoaks. Surprisingly, it's not only survived but is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary this autumn. It now boasts 50 regulars and a faster pace than any other soap, but can you believe that Hollyoaks once focused on the adventures of only seven main characters?
Launching on Channel 4 in October 1995 with just one episode per week, Hollyoaks gradually earned a place in viewers' hearts as it followed the tangled lives and torrid loves of Kurt, Jambo, Louise, Maddie, Natasha, Dawn and Tony. So where are Chester's magnificent seven now?

Golly, they left that to the last minute, didn't they? The coaches on The Voice UK have now completed their teams after the last episode of blind auditions - but for a while we weren't sure if they'd manage it, as Sir Tom and will.i.am left it to the final two acts. Talk about cutting it fine.
We don't actually know how they found time to turn for the six final acts in between all the confetti cannon hiding (will.i.am being sheepish is the best), dancing and singing to S Club's 'Reach', and general Ricky Wilson silliness (including, er, a striptease), but they did! Read on as we assess those lucky six (and the poor eight who didn't make it...)

Rachel Stevens has joined the Strictly Come Dancing 2015 UK tour as a replacement for Frankie Bridge.
Bridge pulled out of the dates on the advice of her doctor after announcing that she is pregnant.
"I'm really happy for Frankie and Wayne - it's great news to start the New Year with," Stevens said.
"I know she's disappointed not to be doing the tour- I was supporting Team Frankie during the show and she was fantastic - but I'm happy to be able to step in for her."
She continued: "It's no secret that I loved my time in Strictly and that I'm a big fan of the dances, so I'm excited to be back and to get my dancing shoes on again.
"Today, I'm straight into rehearsals learning the routines and meeting the guys and next week we'll be on tour seeing fans across the country - I can't wait!

However, with the good, also came the bad. In this case, the bad was that the hunky heartthrob we couldn’t (and still) can’t get enough of, Ashley Parker Angel would not be joining Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, and Trevor Penick on stage across the country.
Thankfully we had his countless incredible handsome selfies on Twitter to satisfy us for a while. Although we would prefer to have it “All or Nothing” at all.

It's Fright Night on The X Factor this week and boy, wouldn't you know it! Not only are the acts all singing 'Fright Night'-themed songs (or, well, they're supposed to be) but one of them will be booted out before the night is out after Simon Cowell got fed up with them all for not trying hard enough. If that's not all scary enough, The Script will be popping along to perform.
So join us when the show starts at 8pm as we find out who gives us thrills and who gives us chills. And, of course, who's having a right nightmare and will have to leave the competition...

A majority of Digital Spy readers think that Stereo Kicks should either sack some of the lineup or split into two boybands rather than stay together as one.
10,842 people voted in our poll asking what should happen to the eight-piece, with 43.3% saying they should sack a few for the greater good.
32.9% of voters said they should do nothing, arguing that Stereo Kicks must take their chances as they are with the other acts.
The remaining 23.8% said they should split the group into two boybands.
Regina_Phalange said: "8 would work if they taught them to harmonise and taught them stage presence. Right now it is just a mess, and it is awful."
Of comparisons to other large bands, Ashley John McLoughlin said: "The difference with S Club 7 is that they were mixed genders and they all looked completely different.
"They look like 8 guys who all work in Top Man and decided to start a choir.

The '90s pop supergroup is getting back together for a charity performance next month.
S Club 7 is bringing it all back for charity, and making our dreams come true in the process!
The '90s supergroup has finally gotten all seven members on board for a reunion at the BBC's Children in Need benefit show on Friday, November 14.
Since the group called it quits in 2003, the members had gone their separate ways. Bradley McIntosh, Paul Cattermole and Jo O’Meara still got together to perform S Club hits from time to time, while Tina Barrett stayed out of the spotlight, Hannah Spearritt pursued an acting career, and Jon Lee focused on musical theater.
