- Grete Natzler was born on June 19, 1906 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. She was an actress, known for Swiss Miss (1938), Der Herzog von Reichstadt (1931) and The Student's Romance (1935). She died on June 10, 1999 in Key West, Florida, USA.
- Austrian operatic soprano, trained in Vienna. She was a leading performer at the Wiener Stadttheater from 1927 and two years later also made her screen debut. In 1933, she moved England and acted in several films for BiP. She was eventually signed by MGM in 1938 and moved to Hollywood to star as 'Della Lind' opposite Laurel & Hardy in Swiss Miss (1938). This does not appear to have been a career-building move, as Grete never acted on screen again and henceforth plied her trade as a potter with occasional appearances on the stage.
- First cousin of actor Reggie Nalder.
- Daughter of actor Leopold Natzler and actress Lilli Meißner.
- Sister of actresses and singers Hertha Natzler and Litzie Helm.
- Paramount signed her as a contract player in late 1935 and considered rechristening her with the screen name Roma Gabriel. She was listed under her original name as a Paramount star in the Film Daily Year Book for 1936.
