Prolific indie developer Curve Studios has announced that Stealth Inc. 2 will launch exclusively on Wii U, and that the sequel is currently on course for a 2014 release.
While the decision to launch the follow-up to the beloved, commercially successful Stealth Inc. on Nintendo’s struggling platform may seem out of left field, in an interview with Cvg, Curve’s managing director Jason Perkins touched upon the economic potential of the console’s rather sparse digital library.
“There isn’t much competition on Nintendo’s store, so we thought that commercially it’s a really good opportunity for us. Nintendo has sold a few million Wii Us too, so the audience is there. We want to see what the market is like. We want to test it.”
At this time, not much is known about the stealth-infused follow-up. Mind you, Curve Studios did allude to gadgets playing a bigger part in your tactical adventures.
