"Do you know where you're at, honey? You're out in the middle of nowhere with two people that do nasty s&!t for a living." Cineverse has unveiled an official trailer for a crime thriller titled The Dirty South, coming to theaters and on VOD to watch this November. When the small town big shot goes after the deed to her family's bar, a heartbreaking bartender takes to extreme measures to keep it. Willa Holland stars as Sue Parker, who is thrust into a desperate struggle to rescue her family's failing business. With the arrival of a charming wanderer, she sees him as her really only hope to help prevent their bar from being seized by the merciless local tycoon. But that's only the start. Matthew Yerby wrote the script in 2018, based on the small-town lifestyle he grew up with in Natchitoches, Louisiana. It also stars Shane West, Laura Cayouette,...

You’ll want to catch Emma Seligman’s “Bottoms” while it’s in theaters. Buzz surrounding the Orion Pictures film has spread as quickly as the gossip about its two main characters did at Rockbridge Falls High School.
You’ll probably recognize at least one of the famous faces in the ensemble cast, whether it be “The Bear” star Ayo Edebiri, “Red White & Royal Blue” star Nicholas Galitzine or “Shiva Baby” breakout Rachel Sennott. Sennott and Seligman previously worked together on “Shiva Baby,” and the pair co-wrote the screenplay for “Bottoms.”
The film released in limited theaters Aug. 25 in Los Angeles, New York, Austin and San Francisco. The Alamo Drafthouse cinemas, arthouses and AMC screens showed the film its opening weekend. The combination of limited screens and lack of streaming makes for tricky navigation of how to watch “Bottoms,” but we’ve got you covered in the meantime before it eventually lands somewhere to stream.

Emma Seligman’s Shiva Baby drew from the well of modern cringe comedies to tell its story of a pressure cooker of a shiva. That setting lent the film authenticity, keeping it firmly grounded in a recognizable reality. So it’s all the more surprising that Seligman’s follow-up, Bottoms, is a far more silly, over-the-top affair, but the film’s unique blend of deadpan and absurdist humor, and its tendency to occasionally push the boundaries of good taste, shows that Seligman is equally comfortable working at the opposite end of the comic spectrum.
Following queer high school besties P.J. (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri) as they start a fight club in an attempt to impress two cheerleaders, Isabel (Havana Rose Liu) and Brittany (Kaia Gerber), Bottoms immediately announces itself as a warped reimagining of the high school comedy rather than a straightforward satire of one. We have the first trailer for you to check out from the film Semper Fi, from writer and director Henry Alex Rubin (Murderball) and co-writer Sean Mullin (Amira & Sam). The film stars Jai Courtney and Nat Wolff as brothers who are trying to connect, on opposite sides of the law. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Cal (Jai Courtney) is a by-the-book police officer who, along with his close-knit group of childhood friends, makes ends meet as a Marine Corps reservist. When his reckless younger half-brother, Oyster, is arrested after a bar fight and given an unfair prison sentence, Cal – driven by his loyalty to family and fierce code of honor – fights for Oyster (Nat Wolff) in this gripping tale of brotherhood and sacrifice.
The movie also stars Leighton Meester, Finn Wittrock, Arturo Castro, Beau Knapp, Rachel Hendrix, Wayne Pére, Ashton Leigh, Sylvia Grace Crim, Lance E. Nichols, and Rob Mello.

"I didn't need you to be my dad, I just needed you to be my brother." Lionsgate has released a trailer for a film titled Semper Fi, originally called Edge of Dawn while in development. The title is a reference to the Marine Corps slogan "semper fi" (in full: semper fidelis), which means "always loyal". The plot is about a police officer who serves in the Marine Corps Reserves who is faced with an ethical dilemma when it comes to helping his brother in prison. Jai Courtney stars as the "by-the-book" officer Cal, and Nat Wolff plays his brother. Also starring Leighton Meester, Finn Wittrock, Arturo Castro, Beau Knapp, Rachel Hendrix, Wayne Pére, Ashton Leigh, Sylvia Grace Crim, Lance E. Nichols, and Rob Mello. This has an interesting premise that plays on morals, but it doesn't seem like this has much to offer besides that. Here's the official trailer for...

Directed by: Fred Andrews
Cast: Dillon Casey (Oscar), Serinda Swan (Emily), Mehcad Brooks (Niles), Lauren Schneider (Karen), Aaron Hill (Randy), Amanda Fuller (Beth), Wayne Pere (Bud), David Jensen (Jimmy), Daniel Bernhardt (Grimley Boutine/Lockjaw), Sid Haig (Chopper)
The creature feature genre is often the most neglected of all the horror subgenres. It takes a back seat to more bankable premises such as slasher and paranormal horror. A new good creature feature is about as hard to find as the creature in the movie itself. Back in the day (way, way, back) in the 1950’s, the creature feature held the lion’s share of what any horror fan would want to see. In my humble opinion, it’s the biggest gamble for anybody that has plans to make a horror film now. Out of the gate, it has two strikes against it.

Chicago – After a particularly long work day, I often find it difficult to coax my mind to sleep. That’s when I turn to Video On Demand for some free and immediate assistance. Most moviegoers would probably search for a familiar comedy or predictable romance to help their eyelids grow heavy in the wee hours of the morning. Justice UK Trailer. Roger Donaldson‘s Justice (2011) UK movie trailer stars Nicolas Cage, January Jones, Guy Pearce, Jennifer Carpenter, and Harold Perrineau. Justice‘s – previously called Seeking Justice and The Hungry Rabbit Jumps – plot synopsis: “After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score. The husband gets more than he bargained for.”
This looked like an average thriller until the group comes calling for their favor to be re-paid by Nick Gerard (Nicolas Cage) and he is disinclined to acquiesce to their demands. I also liked the fact that Gerard virtually has nowhere to turn for help because the group is made up of the very people he would go to.
Justice also stars Xander Berkeley, Monica Acosta, D’Arcy Allen, David Jensen, IronE Singleton, Joe Chrest, Mike Pniewski, Wayne Pére, Donna Duplantier, Melody Noel, and Jason Davis.

From the creators of the upcoming Ice Quake and Mega Cyclone comes the human-eating Mandrake. This SyFy Original premiered in early April, with a future showing in May and this production follows a research team into the jungles of Central America. Here, actors Nick Gomez, Max Martini, and Wayne Pere play anthropologists in search of an ancient, yet cursed, dagger. Soon, the mandrake, normally a poisonous plant, is released and viewers might be searching for something unique in this SyFy Original; this reviewer had to dig deep (get it) to find its uniqueness. A killing bush, the inclusion of two, possibly three villains, and the talk of Conquistador curses creates some of the thrills in this relatively action packed film adventure.
The real mandrake root is actually very poisonous and according to ancient legend, those who unearth the mandrake are soon to hear its cry and later die.

Mirrors 2 Concept PosterThe plotline for Mirrors 2 is almost identical to the first with a nightwatchman guarding the remains of the Mayflower Department Store. Thankfully, some subplots have been introduced, as this latest watchman, played by Nick Stahl (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), is attempting to recover from a tragic accident, which left his wife dead, by returning to the work force (Uhm). Except, a haunted department store is not a great place for recovery. This sequel will to straight to DVD October 19th, 2010 and this latest in the series was directed by Victor Garcia (Return to House on Haunted Hill). Yah, you heard us right! We said “Mirrors 2″. As in, a sequel to the Keifer Sutherland horror movie “Mirrors” directed by Alexandre Aja that came out in 2008 and squatted a big fat goose egg. The lack of a box office punch ain’t gonna stop the powers that be, though....
Mirrors 2 will be a direct to DVD sequel to 2008’s Mirrors which starred Keifer Sutherland.
We hear the scribes are on set during certain gore/kill scenes so it sounds like this sequel is being cared for and looked after in stead of most sequel rush jobs we get, who knows maybe this one will be better than it’s predecessor! God we hope so.
