Tori Spelling Thriller ‘Lost in The Everglades’ Starts Production

Vancouver-based John Production Group has announced the start of filming on thriller Lost in The Everglades, starring Tori Spelling as a mother on a perilous search for her college-age daughter who goes missing during a Spring Break trip to Miami. Enlists the help of a rugged local boatman, they brave the untamed wilderness together, facing unexpected threats while racing against time to uncover the truth. Spelling also serves as an executive producer on the film directed by Damián Romay. The ensemble cast also features Tommi Rose, Nick Ballard, Joseph Cannon, Nick Flaig, and Nikki Nunziato. Filming is taking place, on location in Miami and Everglades National Park for the first three weeks of November.

I find it really hard to believe that Dying to Be Famous isn’t a product of the Lifetime network. From the ludicrous story to the badly written script to the overly melodramatic acting, Damian Romay’s film has Lifetime’s stamp all over it. However, it comes from the streaming service Bet+, which is owned by Tyler Perry. This is one of the most terrible movies to come out in recent times, for sure, which is not a surprise. There’s one thing Dying to Be Famous has going in its favor though—perfectly fitting into the ‘so bad that it’s good’ category. I’m not sure if you really care about the movie or its ending at all, but given you’re reading this, I guess you need some things clarified. So here we go.

Directed by Demi Castro and Damian Romay, the new TV movie Let Love Grow is a sweet romantic drama that tries to entertain, but because of its low stakes, fails to engage the viewer. The plot is fairly generic, revolving around landscape artist Evie and paleontologist Ryan, who meet by chance, get off on the wrong foot but slowly start to develop feelings for each other. Ryan’s daughters try to play matchmakers, unaware that Evie may have to leave for Japan.
