Paramount+ has confirmed that Tulsa King will return for a third season. The crime drama, starring Sylvester Stallone and created by Taylor Sheridan, has already begun production in Atlanta and Oklahoma after months of casting.
Dave Erickson, previously a writer, executive producer, and showrunner on Mayor of Kingstown, has been named executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming season. His involvement was part of an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, which produces Sheridan’s shows with 101 Studios.
Stallone, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, secured a new contract in November, ensuring his involvement for at least two more seasons. This agreement set the stage for the series’ continuation, with a fourth season likely to follow.
The second season of Tulsa King, which concluded in November, set a Paramount+ record with 21.1 million global streaming views for its premiere. Alongside Landman and Lioness, it was among the top 10 U.S.

Even since Sylvester Stolle's Dwight Manfredi got out of prison and arrived in Tulsa, the lives of everyone in town and of his own family have drastically changed. Tulsa Kingexplores where one man's unchecked ambition can take him within the criminal underworld, for better or for worse. Exclusive: Tulsa King is still pulling its weight over at Paramount+ as Season 2 has become one of the three biggest domestic originals in the streaming service’s history.
The second season, which wrapped up on November 17, has reached 13.6M global households to date, according to Paramount Global. It trails only behind Taylor Sheridan’s other hit 1923 and its own first season.
(It’s common for Paramount+ to tout global households rather that viewers, since the company can’t determine how many people are watching via a single stream, or if anyone is actually watching at all.)
This is a victory not only for Stallone and Sheridan, but for MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, which have been on a winning streak as of late. They also produce 1923 as well as Landman, which recently had the biggest global series premiere for Paramount+ in two years.

Its perhaps too early to say, but Tulsa King appears to be flowing through the same rivulet as Breaking Bad regarding critical and fan reception. The first season was good, but it didnt cause anyone to cancel a date. Season 2, on the other hand, has been excellent so far and currently boasts a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is hardly surprising, considering that the show has a wide variety of ingredients that make it tasty. It is produced by the great Taylor Sheridan and written by Terence Winter, who, throughout his long career, has been a magnificently sensitive observer of gangster dynamics. Besides that, the Season 2 cast has names like Frank Grillo and Neal McDonough, who all deliver vivid, well-rounded performances.

We spoke to Heather Graham upon the release of her directorial project Chosen Family, a comedy film she wrote and also stars in. The title lives up to its name, as Graham's lovable lead character navigates modern romance and lasting friendships while struggling to set boundaries against her increasingly needy family. It's the latest in a long line of projects Graham has tackled over the years, on both the big and small screen. TV audiences know her from Twin Peaks, Californication, and, of course, her standout role on the hit sitcom Scrubs and fans have been hoping for a reboot ever since it went off the air. Graham told MovieWeb:
"I definitely would love to be in the Scrubs revival. Zach [Braff] and Donald [Faison] do a podcast called [Fake Doctors, Real Friends] and we were all talking about that. And I was just like, 'I want to go back and do more episodes of Scrubs!

John Brotherton is a father in the middle of a divorce whose desire to date someone new is hampered by his attached daughter in Chosen Family. Having first broken out with his work in the soap opera One Life to Live, Brotherton steadily began making a name for himself with his roles in both James Wan's The Conjuring, starring as local police officer Brad Hamilton roped into the Warrens' investigation of the Perron home, and Furious 7, not only playing Mr. Nobody's right-hand man, Sheppard, but also being Paul Walker's stand-in for some scenes as Brian.
In Chosen Family, Brotherton stars as Steve, a charming contractor hired by chef and restauranteur Max for help with fixing up his new business, all while raising his daughter and going through a divorce. Through his interactions with Max, Steve meets Ann, a yoga instructor looking to forge a better path...

Julia Stiles is a woman whose efforts to remain sober prove troublesome amid her dysfunctional family in Chosen Family. The Golden Globe and Emmy nominee first found success with her turns in multiple William Shakespeare modernizations, including the Heath Ledger-co-starring 10 Things I Hate About You, Ethan Hawke's Hamlet and Tim Blake Nelson's O. Her star power has only grown since, including starring in the original Bourne trilogy with Matt Damon and in Dexter season 5 as Lumen.
Stiles stars in Chosen Family as Clio, sister to the film's protagonist Ann, just released from her latest stint in rehab after years of struggling with various addictions. Moving back in with their hyper-religious father and eccentric mother, Clio becomes consistently more frustrated with her sister's overbearing nature of making sure she doesn't go back to rehab, while their parents continue to support her with her various ideas of businesses she wants to form,...

You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family. That's how the adage always went, at least until we started to expand our definition of family. Yes, the notion of a chosen clan is ever-growing in popularity, and it's being explored on the big screen in a variety of ways. There are darker explorations like the Jesse Eisenberg film Manodrome from earlier this year, and now, on a much lighter note, there's the quite obviously titled Chosen Family, a passion project from the always charming Heather Graham.
The last time we spoke to Graham, she was playing a gritty Western character trying to protect her daughter (in the film Place of Bones). This time around, her character Ann is trying in vain to connect with someone else's daughter, giving Chosen Family an uncomfortable comedic end result that might give certain millennials and Gen X'ers Ptsd based on their own past family woes.

Thomas Lennon reunites with Heather Graham on her return to the director's chair with Chosen Family. Beyond the improv police comedy show, Lennon has found success both in front of and behind the camera, co-writing the first two Night at the Museum movies with Garant, while also starring in everything from I Love You, Man to Bob's Burgers and The Odd Couple reboot.
Lennon stars in Chosen Family as Max, one of a group of close friends of Graham's Ann, and a chef gearing up to open a new restaurant with his wife, Frances. The movie primarily follows Ann as she looks to finally break her trend of dating lackluster men, striking...

Heather Graham is getting back to the director's chair with Chosen Family. In front of the camera, Graham's career has seen her star in everything from Jon Favreau's buddy comedy Swingers to David Lynch and Mark Frost's beloved mystery show Twin Peaks, The Hangover trilogy and, more recently, in the latest adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand and H.P. Tulsa King star Garrett Hedlund reveals how Mitch will play a much bigger role in season 2. Recently returning to Paramount+, season 2 of the hit crime drama picks up after the shocking Tulsa King season 1 finale that saw Sylvester Stallones Dwight arrested during the opening of the new casino he co-owns with Mitch. With season 2, episode 1 Back in the Saddle making its debut on September 15, the remaining episodes are expected to drop weekly until November 17.
Speaking with Screen Rant following Tulsa King season 2s recent premiere, Hedlund explains how Dwights business partner Mitch plays a much more significant role in determining the direction of his criminal empire. The following contains major spoilers from Tulsa King Season 2, Episode 1, "Back in the Saddle," now streaming on Paramount+.
Tulsa King Season 2 has arrived after more than a year of waiting -- and that feeling of readjustment permeates the Paramount+ show's premiere. Season 2, Episode 1, "Back in the Saddle," is all about Dwight Manfredi getting used to the changes that have happened around him since he was arrested at the end of the first season. It's a slow-paced episode, as if the creative team wanted to give viewers a chance to recall who's who and what's what in this corner of the Taylor Sheridan universe.
"Back in the Saddle" sees Dwight being arraigned on federal bribery charges, but it's no spoiler to say that he's soon back out on the streets. The episode details the ripple effect that his arrest has on his crew and other characters in his life, while also...

It’s almost time to head back to Tulsa to spend some more time with The General. On Sunday, September 15, Tulsa King Season 2 kicks off with its premiere episode “Back in the Saddle” on Paramount+, and it’ll pick up right where the first season left off. Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) will find himself in deep trouble after being turned in for his attempted bribery by Stacy Beale (Andrea Savage), putting his newly established business and freshly reestablished family dynamics at risk. Season 2 will also see him facing some new foes as the series ushers in Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo to challenge his authority in T-Town. So what can we expect from these newcomers? And what else should we know about Tulsa King ahead of its Season 2 debut? TV Insider caught up with showrunner Terence Winter to find out. Sylvester Stallone didn’t really do TV before this. So...

Plot: Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.
Review: Taylor Sheridan has diversified his retinue of television series beyond the world of Yellowstone to include historical epics, Michigan-set crime stories, and this unique tale set in Oklahoma. The first season of Tulsa King was a welcome small screen project for big screen star Sylvester Stallone, who embodied Dwight Manfredi as a New York fish out of water in the Midwestern city of Tulsa. With a new local crew, Dwight’s...

I was skeptical about Tulsa King when it came out in 2022. The series seemed like the ultimate dad television show, featuring a weathered ’80s superstar that children’s grandparents talk about. From Rambo to Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Stallone’s films made over a billion dollars in the ’80s without today’s special effects.
Stallone’s dive into streaming television paid off handsomely. The first season was well received. Tulsa King, created by the minds behind Yellowstone and a former head writer of The Sopranos, does a masterful job of toggling between visceral violence and ominous black comedy.
In short, Tulsa King remains the brass-knuckles-bruising comedy we have come to love despite its considerable flaws.
