Just a couple of days ago, we learned the series would be returning for a third season, and now we're learning about two actors who will join the Sylvester Stallone-led series. Paramount+ has confirmed that Tulsa King will return for a third season. The crime drama, starring Sylvester Stallone and created by Taylor Sheridan, has already begun production in Atlanta and Oklahoma after months of casting.

Dave Erickson, previously a writer, executive producer, and showrunner on Mayor of Kingstown, has been named executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming season. His involvement was part of an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, which produces Sheridan’s shows with 101 Studios.

Stallone, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, secured a new contract in November, ensuring his involvement for at least two more seasons. This agreement set the stage for the series’ continuation, with a fourth season likely to follow.

The second season of Tulsa King, which concluded in November, set a Paramount+ record with 21.1 million global streaming views for its premiere. Alongside Landman and Lioness, it was among the top 10 U.S.

Martin Starr, who plays Bodhi in the Sylvester Stallone-led gangster drama, teased what's to come.

Still, it seems almost sure that Tulsa King will return for a third season, thanks to star Sylvester Stallone bragging about it on social media. With the record-breaking premiere numbers for season two, Stallone took to Instagram where he wrote, “I am elated and so proud of our cast because our show has gone up 75% over last year, which is unheard of, and Season 2 got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Exclusive: Tulsa King is still pulling its weight over at Paramount+ as Season 2 has become one of the three biggest domestic originals in the streaming service’s history.

The second season, which wrapped up on November 17, has reached 13.6M global households to date, according to Paramount Global. It trails only behind Taylor Sheridan’s other hit 1923 and its own first season.

(It’s common for Paramount+ to tout global households rather that viewers, since the company can’t determine how many people are watching via a single stream, or if anyone is actually watching at all.)

This is a victory not only for Stallone and Sheridan, but for MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, which have been on a winning streak as of late. They also produce 1923 as well as Landman, which recently had the biggest global series premiere for Paramount+ in two years.

An exciting update has been revealed concerning the future of Tulsa King on Paramount+. While the series hasn't been officially renewed just yet, the odds are looking good that the show may be moving forward with not just one, but two more seasons.

Per Deadline, Tulsa King star and executive producer Sylvester Stallone is in the midst of finalizing a new deal to continue his work with the show. The deal is set to bring back Stallone for two additional seasons of Tulsa King, putting the show on track for a two-season renewal. Reportedly, Stallone's deal will see him getting another raise, putting him up from the $1.5 million per episode he'd earned for Season 2. With this noted, there's still time for these plans to fall through as the renewal hasn't been formally greenlit just yet.

Sylvester Stallone is nearing a deal to return for at least two more seasons of the Paramount+ drama series “Tulsa King,” Variety has confirmed with sources.

Stallone, who is also an executive producer on the show, leads the cast of the mob drama, with his new deal paving the way for a two-season pickup for Seasons 3 & 4. Sources stressed, however, that the show has not been formally renewed at this point.

Its perhaps too early to say, but Tulsa King appears to be flowing through the same rivulet as Breaking Bad regarding critical and fan reception. The first season was good, but it didnt cause anyone to cancel a date. Season 2, on the other hand, has been excellent so far and currently boasts a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

This is hardly surprising, considering that the show has a wide variety of ingredients that make it tasty. It is produced by the great Taylor Sheridan and written by Terence Winter, who, throughout his long career, has been a magnificently sensitive observer of gangster dynamics. Besides that, the Season 2 cast has names like Frank Grillo and Neal McDonough, who all deliver vivid, well-rounded performances.

We spoke to celebrated actress Julia Stiles leading up to the release of Chosen Family, her new romantic comedy from writer-director and co-star Heather Graham. It's a funny and sweet look at modern-day struggles like finding love while juggling work alongside an overbearing family. We spoke to Heather Graham upon the release of her directorial project Chosen Family, a comedy film she wrote and also stars in. The title lives up to its name, as Graham's lovable lead character navigates modern romance and lasting friendships while struggling to set boundaries against her increasingly needy family. It's the latest in a long line of projects Graham has tackled over the years, on both the big and small screen. TV audiences know her from Twin Peaks, Californication, and, of course, her standout role on the hit sitcom Scrubs and fans have been hoping for a reboot ever since it went off the air. Yes, the notion of a chosen clan is ever-growing in popularity, and it's being explored on the big screen in a variety of ways. There are darker explorations like the Jesse Eisenberg film Manodrome from earlier this year, and now, on a much lighter note, there's the quite obviously titled Chosen Family, a passion project from the always charming Heather Graham.

The last time we spoke to Graham, she was playing a gritty Western character trying to protect her daughter (in the film Place of Bones). This time around, her character Ann is trying in vain to connect with someone else's daughter, giving Chosen Family an uncomfortable comedic end result that might give certain millennials and Gen X'ers Ptsd based on their own past family woes.

I was skeptical about Tulsa King when it came out in 2022. The series seemed like the ultimate dad television show, featuring a weathered ’80s superstar that children’s grandparents talk about. From Rambo to Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Stallone’s films made over a billion dollars in the ’80s without today’s special effects.

Stallone’s dive into streaming television paid off handsomely. The first season was well received. Tulsa King, created by the minds behind Yellowstone and a former head writer of The Sopranos, does a masterful job of toggling between visceral violence and ominous black comedy.

In short, Tulsa King remains the brass-knuckles-bruising comedy we have come to love despite its considerable flaws.
