Terry Schroth
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Additional Crew
Terry received her first camera for her 10th birthday and was printing
in her high school darkroom at age 14. It was the beginning of a career
in photography and film. She shot sports and candids for her
elementary, high school and college yearbooks and newspapers and while
in college traveled on weekends to shoot professional dance
competitions around the US. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors
degree in Photography and soon landed a job as Photographer for the
first Glamour Shots, helping to establish their "look" and "method".
She later worked as a Still Assistant before this position led to her
recruitment as a camera loader. She worked as a 2nd AC in Houston
before moving to Los Angeles where she continued to work on many
features and tv shows. (see resume) Throughout this time she remained
an active photographer, shooting headshots for friends, location photos
for various productions as needed, traveling the globe to shoot travel
photos which she continues to sell in various galleries around the US
and abroad. While an AC she began to pursue the position of Camera
Operator. She has worked on numerous low-budget shorts, industrials,
and specs, honing her skills for the time when she might move up the
Union ladder to Camera Operator. After 18 years in the Union, she
officially made the move to operator, and is now living in Atlanta, in
pursuit of that dream.
