Billy had to leave New York under a black cloud. Little is mentioned as to why, but we do know, while being chased down the driveway by his mother and a shotgun... he threw his drums and keyboard into the back of his 57 Chevy and headed west.
Billy moved to California and started his formal education in music. His main course of study is the Piano, Drums and Percussion. He's been working professionally as a musician since the age of 16. And after Building his own recording studio, he went onto co-found and play drums in The Imperial Crowns. Billy also records drums and percussion for film composer David Newman - from 2000 to current. Billy has performed on 'Girls Trip', 'Night School', and 'Green Eggs and Ham' to new a few... as well, he's mixed many of Dave Newman's latest film scores.
Billy is accomplished in the scoring of his movies and TV shows including: 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' 'Veep' HBO. 'Ran Mi Lowo' 2021 'Brothers In Arms' 2018 (Johnny Depp, Charlie Sheen) 'The Truth About Marriage' 2019 (Winner - Best Documentary Hollywood Independent film festival) 'Dying to Live' 2017, 'The Nature Of Existence' 'Running Wild from Ted Nugent' and 'Trekkies' to name a few more.
Billy currently teaches "Score Like the Masters' at UCLA's Extention film scoring Program. He supports The Society of Composers and Lyricists and currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors for The American Youth Symphony and The Judaic Sacred Music Foundation.
