The BBC is piloting a comedy chat-show format hosted by a CGI Vladimir Putin. The British broadcaster is testing out the semi-scripted talk show featuring a pastiche of the bear-wrestling global strongman.
Tonight with Vladimir Putin will launch on BBC Two as two episodes of 12 minutes. The episodes will feature Tony Blair’s former spin doctor Alastair Campbell, Your Face or Mine? host June Sarpong and C-lister Joe Swash.
It will use live VFX, created using performance capture technology developed by creative studio Framestore, to enable a 3D digital cartoon of Putin to walk around and sit behind the desk, interviewing real human guests in front of a studio audience, all in real time.
Putin jokingly thanks Campbell for his part in making such a mess of things, while he makes Sarpong play a game of “Diversity Challenge.” In Episode 2, Vlad asks his first guest the same question he asked...

Joe Swash wants to reprise his role on 'EastEnders'. The 33-year-old actor - who played Mickey Miller in the series from 2003 to 2008 and briefly returned for two episodes in 2011 - has confessed he would love to make a comeback on the BBC soap. Despite his character not having appeared in Albert Square for nearly four years, Joe believes anything is possible following Gillian Taylforth's shock return to the series as Kathy Beale - who was thought to have died in 2006 - as part of show's 30th anniversary celebrations earlier this year. I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! is back tomorrow... and three people who know a lot about the show are its spinoff's hosts Joe Swash, Laura Whitmore and Rob Beckett.
The trio, who have flown to Aus for the next month so that they can pop up on ITV2's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here Now!, recently sat down with us to chat dream guests, squabbling with each other, annoying celebrities who refuse trials and much much more. So here are 9 things we learned from them!
1. Joe - who has obviously been in the jungle himself - thinks Laura and Rob could handle it.
"Definitely," he said. "I think they'd both do brilliantly. I think they've both seen enough of it to know how it works. I think Laura – all girls sort of struggle with the fact that they've got no makeup or mirrors or hairdryers.

1. An Offal mess
Thank goodness we've not invented smell-o-vision - Lucy Pargeter was faced with shiny, pink glistening offal filled to the brim of a limo in the Limo Scream task on the show last year.

After 13 series, there have now been more than enough I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winners to fill up their own all-star series.
They all had to endure creepy crawlies, tough Bushtucker Trials and mockery by Ant & Dec, but they all won the hearts of the nation for a couple of weeks.
Some of them may have fallen from grace since, while some have soared up the UK fame ranks. But who were the best champions from their respective series? Here's our just-for-fun, don't-take-it-too-seriously Top 13.
13. Carol Thatcher - Series 5 (2005)
Potentially the most surprising winner of the lot, no-one could have guessed that Margaret Thatcher's daughter would have been voted the nation's favourite.
Viewers were won over by how involved she was in the tasks, her no-nonsense attitude, and the fact that she was only up against Sid Owen and Cannon & Ball.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby struggles to keep her composure as she dines on pig penis in a Digital Spy exclusive clip from the next episode of Fake Reaction.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner was challenged to bluff contestants on the ITV2 show into thinking she was eating delicious chicken, but ended up grimacing, gagging and eventually spitting out the sickening snack.
Crosby's former CBB housemate Louie Spence also features alongside Joe Swash and host Matt Edmondson on the new instalment of Fake Reaction, which airs tomorrow (January 9) at 10pm on ITV2.
Crosby gave DS her verdict on the current crop of Celebrity Big Brother contestants earlier this week, admitting that she admires "wild and crazy" Jasmine Waltz.
The reality star also said that she thinks her series of the Channel 5 show was "a load of w**k" due to too many "boring" older contestants.

Joe Swash has his eye on a group of stripper pensioners in saucy clips from the new series of Fake Reaction exclusive to Digital Spy.
The presenter and former Eastenders star looks flustered as he prepares to grapple with 'strippergrams' for a game on the ITV2 show, admitting that he has always been attracted to cougars.
"I went through a real stage when I was younger of loving older women," he told host Matt Edmondson. "There's still a little bit of that in me."
Other clips from Fake Reaction's return see Brian McFadden and his wife Vogue Williams take on a game that will see one of them create a 'human clothes line' through a man's nipple and penis rings.
Helen Flanagan also stars on the show and appears traumatised by the prospect of getting covered in putrid slop for a gruesome game.

Kian Egan greeting his wife Jodi on their night of luxury
"It was lovely! Very rarely do the celebrities actually get a moment with their loved ones. You forget how emotional it is. They're only gone for a week, but things heighten so much.
"Even us, the crew and stuff, we're so involved and when we watched that we were all bawling our eyes out. You could see how emotional it was and how much it meant to him. It's really nice to see those touching moments in the show.

A two-week stint in the jungle has a variety of consequences on its celebrity campers. It sends certain stars loopy and turns others into crying divas - but it's had a mellowing effect on EastEnders actress Laila Morse, as she reveals in this interview with Digital Spy.
How does it feel to be out of the jungle, Laila?
If I'm being truthful, I really miss the jungle. I slept well in there and I enjoyed it, but it was hard. You're cut off from the outside world and you don't eat properly. I lost a stone in there, but I'm happy.
Were you worried about the jungle diet and the meagre rations before you went in?
I like my food, so I was certainly worried about the diet before I went in there. I'm a good eater and I get very angry when I get hungry. I have a terrible...
