Starz has revealed the trailer for Season 2 of “The Serpent Queen,” starring Samantha Morton. Featuring eight episodes, the second season of the historical drama series will return to the platform July 12.
Based on the book “Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France” by Leonie Frieda, the series details the life of the titular Queen Catherine (Morton), one of the longest-serving rulers in French history. She ruled the country for 50 years. The first season followed the young royal as she married into the 16th-century French court at 14 after being orphaned.
Catherine de Medici becomes the Queen Regent of France in the second season, as her son Charles IX has come of age. The trailer sees the royal try to avoid civil war in the country and going head to head with Queen Elizabeth I of England (Minnie Driver).
“Life is about what you’re willing to do to survive,” the Queen Regent states in the trailer.

If you were a fan of Netflix’s Dark, then the next mind-bending series from creators Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar looks to be right up your alley. Netflix has released another trailer for 1899, a mystery series which follows the passengers of an immigrant ship encountering the biggest mystery of their lives on their journey across the cast and treacherous Atlantic Ocean.
Set against Jimi Hendrix’s cover of All Along the Watchtower, the 1899 trailer looks like a wild ride, full of disturbing imagery and mysteries just begging to be solved. Baran bo Odar has previously teased that 1899 will be unlike Dark in a lot of ways. “Dark was not about action at all, but this is really an action show, with a lot of violence, beating, running, screaming,” Odar said. “I think it’s going to be exciting to watch with the audience [to see] if they love this new puzzle too,...

A hit with audiences at the Fantasia International Film Festival and about to be released on Shudder, Moloch is a haunting tale set on the edge of the Netherlands’ Stijfveen peat bog, which begins with the unearthing of a centuries old bog body and goes on to deal with the unearthing of dark secrets in the local community and one family in particular. Sallie Harmsen plays Betriek, a locally born woman who has found herself drawn back to the area despite a troubled past, whilst Alexandre Willaume stars as Jonas, the visiting archaeologist whom she assists with translation and with whom she forms a tentative relationship, as ancient horrors gradually close in. When I met Nico at the festival, I asked if bog bodies were where it all began for him.
“It sparked my imagination when I was very young,” he tells me.

The Wheel continues to spin, and it keeps releasing something better each time.
On the Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 4, Moiraine finally got healed by another Aes Sedai.
However, she didn't get to rest for long.
Before getting into the episode, I need to re-state the brilliancy of the title sequence.
The imagery and effects tell their own story, almost like a history book.
The music used during the sequence also shines, as does the music throughout the entirety of the series.

The villagers are still separated but seem to have found different traveling companions for the time being.
Egwene and Perrin decided to travel with Ila (Maria Doyle Kennedy) and her people for a time, while Mat and Rand were with the man from the inn, Thom (Alexandre Willaume).

The hour improved and continued the different story threads introduced in The Wheel of Time Season 1 Episode 1.
The villagers are still separated but seem to have found different traveling companions for the time being.
Egwene and Perrin decided to travel with Ila (Maria Doyle Kennedy) and her people for a time, while Mat and Rand were with the man from the inn, Thom (Alexandre Willaume).

First shots often sum up much of the drama ahead. Bowing June 12 on Orange TV in Spain, “The Head’” a signature series of The Mediapro Studio, is no exception.
Featuring among key cast Alvaro Morte, “La Casa de Papel’s” Professor, and Japanese pop idol Tomohisa Yamashita, written by Alex and David Pastor and directed by Jorge Dorado, the six-part South Pole survival thriller kicks off with a sustained aerial shot swooping over cruelly barren Antarctic expanses, then down to a small but raucous crowd partying outside the Polaris VI Scientific Research Station.
Still the same apparent shot, it shimmies past Morte – who plays the Station’s belligerent cook and is gamely serving hamburgers – then morphs seamlessly into the subjective Pov of Johan (Alexandre Willaume), the Station’s second-in-command, as he nonchalantly grabs a bottle of wine and fair sprints into the Station.

On Sept. 13, the cast and crew of Mediapro’s upcoming dramatic thriller “The Head” gathered at a swanky Santa Cruz de Tenerife hotel to kick off promotional duties for this English-language series, which will wrap shooting later this month.
It was day 50 of production, and the cast had been working late, rushing to get every last shot before heading off to Iceland for one last week. Having only wrapped the previous night’s shoot less than 10 hours prior, all were in high spirits for that morning’s round of junkets with the Spanish, Japanese and English-language press, and for the set visit that then followed.
Variety was on-hand for the day’s events, and can offer the following take-aways from the visit.

"What are you doing here, Lara?" Warner Bros has released the second trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie, based on the popular video game series about adventurer Lara Croft. "Her legend begins." It's time to finally meet the new Lara Croft. Warner Bros has debuted the first official trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie, based on the popular video game series about adventurer Lara Croft. Swedish actress Alicia Vikander stars as Lara Croft this time around, playing a young woman living in London who decides to travel to a mysterious island in an attempt to figure out what happened to her eccentric adventurer father. As expected, there is a tomb she'll raid and lots of other crazy things in this, including various video game-esque action scenes like swinging spiked logs and more. The full cast includes Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins, Dominic West, Daniel Wu, and Alexandre Willaume. This seems like a nice follow up to WB's Wonder Woman, about another ass-kicking independent woman. I'm hoping it isn't as bad as pretty much every other video game movie, because the curse still isn't broken.
