Hallmark+ has announced details of the third installment in its new, original movie series, Love on the Danube. Titled Kissing Stars, the new movie premieres on September 26 and stars Sarah Power and Brendan Penny. According to the official synopsis, Savannah (Power) is a PR professional who works with non-profits. She is expecting a promotion but unexpectedly gets laid off. Meanwhile, her best friend, Teddy (Kathryn Drysdale), the director of a riverboat cruise that is hosting a Rom-Com fan convention called KissCon, invites her to work with talent while on the cruise.

According to the official synopsis, Ava (Sipos), an art gallery manager, decides to take her honeymoon riverboat cruise alone after her wedding was canceled a year before. On the cruise, she meets Joe (Jeannotte), a handsome fellow passenger she finds intriguing.

Unbeknownst to her, Joe is concealing his identity as the Prince of Baldonia.

The Hallmark Channel is headed to Britain this Christmas for a jolly holiday.

The network has cast Will Kemp (“The Christmas Waltz”) and Reshma Shetty (“Blind Spot”) in its upcoming original movie “Jolly Good Christmas,” which will premiere during its annual Countdown to Christmas programming event.

The movie was shot entirely on location, from residential areas in the north west of the city to Piccadilly Circus, and promises lots of glimpses of iconic London landmarks. In a first-look image shared with Variety, Kemp and Shetty can be see standing on the banks of the River Thames romantically looking into each other’s eyes.

The first footage from the English-language drama End Of Sentence, starring John Hawkes was unveiled during the works- in- progress presentations at Iceland’s Stockfish film festival in Reykjavik last week.

Us actor Hawkes, who was nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for Winter’s Bone in 2011, stars as a man trying to fulfill his late wife’s last wish, to go on a road trip with his son, played by Logan Lerman, to scatter her ashes in rural Ireland. The cast also includes Sarah Bolger, Andrea Irvine and Trapped’s Olafur Darri Olafsson.

The former head of eOne’s global film operation Patrice Théroux and Leif Bristow of Leif Films have hired My Left Foot screenwriter Shane Connaughton to write The Family Shakespeare.

The six-part mini series will focus on the struggle William Shakespeare faced as he tried to balance family life with his budding career in London as an actor and playwright.

Leif and Théroux (pictured) are looking for potential co-production partners and not surprisingly given the subject matter are understood to be targeting the UK.

Agnes Bristow, who formed Leif Films with her husband in 1998, and John Rhys-Davies are also on board as executive producers.

TORONTO -- Kids movie producers Knightscove Family Films Inc. and Random Harvest Pictures Ltd. on Wednesday said that they are forming a joint venture to co-produce a slate of family pictures that tap tax-driven Canadian and British financing sources. Toronto-based Knightscove president and CEO Leif Bristow said his company and Random Harvest have shared goals to produce or finance commercially driven projects aimed at young people. Bristow and Alistair Maclean-Clark, a former Walt Disney Co. executive and managing director of Random Harvest, made the announcement midway through the Toronto International Film Festival. Film projects to come from the joint venture will be mostly U.K.-Canadian co-productions, snagging financial incentives available in both markets for homegrown pictures meeting content requirements.
