In the latest episode of Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, airing at 9:30 Am on Disney, Team Spidey is ready for some festive fun. In “A Snow Day for Aunt May; Hanukkah Heist,” Spidey and his friends are determined to give Aunt May a special snow day for Christmas. However, before they can relax, they must first come to the aid of Santa Claus himself, solving a problem that threatens Christmas cheer. It’s a race against time as Team Spidey works together to help Santa and save the holiday spirit.

In the second part of the episode, Spidey teams up with the Thing to help Aunt Petunia. Her latkes have been stolen, and it’s up to the heroes to track them down and save the day during Hanukkah. With plenty of action, teamwork, and holiday spirit, this episode promises to be a heartwarming adventure for young viewers.

Venom: The Last Dance introduced audiences to the all powerful Knull, God of the Symbiotes. The Marvel Comics character has been a force to be reckoned with in the source material for years now and there was certainly enthusiasm to see how he would be portrayed on-screen.

The character received something of a mixed response, but one of the main reasons for that was his lack of screen-time and limited role. With the promise of a more extensive role in the Sony Pictures Universe of Spider-Man Characters going forward, Sony could very easily solve that problem.

We got confirmation earlier this year that Sony Pictures is moving forward with a live-action Spider-Man Noir series for Amazon Prime Video, with Nicolas Cage set to play the hero after voicing him in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.

Now, Daniel Richtman is reporting that Brendan Gleeson has joined the cast as a villain.

We don't have much more to go on, but in the comics, Noir faces off against multiple redesigned versions of pretty much every classic Spidey foe, including the Goblin, Vulture, Electro, and Doctor Octopus.

If this is accurate - and Richtman has been spot on with these casting scoops of late - expect the trades to confirm soon.

Even the best superhero is nothing without a great villain. Unfortunately, we often see bad guys underserved in the movies they appear in, an issue that's plagued the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the start.

Regardless of whether they steal the spotlight from the hero the movie is named after or are forgotten before the credits even roll, many a supervillain's appearance has been redesigned during the transition from page to screen.

The sins of Norman Osborn have returned to their rightful host, unleashing the Green Goblin on the world once more. Peter Parker had been planning for this eventuality and managed to corner Norman in his lab, where Spider-Man was able to even the playing field to get the upper hand.

Unfortunately, the Green Goblin had a trick up his own sleeve. When Peter had taken the sins of Norman Osborn into himself months ago, his twisted persona preserved itself via the Winker Device, brainwashing Peter to switch back to it when a code phrase is said.

Green Goblin activated the phrase and brought Spider-Goblin to the forefront of Peter's psyche. In today's Amazing Spider-Man #51, we see the Sinister Six plotting to take revenge on The Living Brain.

Kraven the Hunter tries to warn the Six of the threat Osborn's sins pose to them, only to be mocked by his teammates.

In the late 1980s/early 1990s, Avatar, Aliens, and The Terminator director James Cameron had ambitious plans for a live-action Spider-Man movie.

After writing the screenplay with Barry Cohen and Ted Newson, he'd have directed the movie. While we've heard about many possible casting ideas the filmmaker had, Leonardo DiCaprio was expected to play Peter Parker.

It's one of those movies fans will likely always wonder about; instead, Sam Raimi helmed 2002's Spider-Man, with Tobey Maguire playing the web-slinger and a tone more in line with Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's comics instead of the R-Rated adventure Cameron likely had planned.

Electro and Sandman were expected to be Cameron's villains, though a quote attributed to the director at Cinematheque Francaise in Paris confirms he also had plans for Venom.

Amazing Spider-Man #50 was recently released and ended with a major status quo shift for Peter Parker. The hero has been secretly brainwashed by the Green Goblin, transforming him into the twisted "Spider-Goblin."

We've yet to see the consequences of that change, though we're not expecting the hero's villainous new persona to be a permanent change.

The series has also seen the Sinister Six reassemble, and while that would usually be a problem for Peter, they'll now have to face the web-slinger with his twisted new persona.

Spider-Man: Homecoming featured Shocker and The Vulture and even set the stage for Scorpion's eventual debut by introducing Mac Gargan. The Andrew Garfield-led "Spider-Man" films remain a tragic mixed bag. There are those who adore Garfield as Marvel's famed webslinger. There are many others who can't get past the messy direction the films themselves wandered down -- particularly this sequel we're talking about today.

There are any number of actors who could have taken on the role of Dr. Otto Octavius in 2004's Spider-Man 2, but Sam Raimi made a somewhat unlikely choice with Alfred Molina. However, it would prove to absolutely be the right one. 

The actor made Doctor Octopus his own and, even two decades later, his Doc Ock is still considered one of the best comic book supervillains to ever grace the screen. 

In a recent interview, Molina reflected on his career and admitted he was surprised to be considered seeing as he was best known at the time for his roles in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark and Frida. 

"It was a big surprise to me, because it's not the kind of movie that I imagined myself to be qualified for. You always think of these big action films as [casting] physical types, and I've definitely never been that.
