Kjell Rasten was born on 1 May 1940 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a producer and production manager, known for International Championship of Magic (1985), ABC Late Night (1973) and The 35th Annual Golden Globe Awards (1978). He was married to Charo. He died on 18 February 2019 in Beverly Hills, California, USA.

Suffered from bullous pemphigoid, a rare skin disease, for years and had grown depressed before he committed suicide on February 18, 2019, aged 78.

Married to singer and entertainer <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0004819/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Charo</a>, &quot;The Cuchi Cuchi Girl&quot;.
