UK action star of John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Killer’s Game Scott Adkins leads the cast of action thriller Breaking Cover, with the UK’s WestEnd launching sales at the upcoming EFM.

Dutch filmmaker Adrian Bol directs the story of a seemingly ordinary back-office worker whose father-daughter hunting trip turns into a relentless fight for survival, when they stumble upon an execution in an isolated North American forest, and the father’s past as a covert operative is unearthed.

If you’re craving a Da Vinci Code sort of movie but don’t want to concentrate quite that hard, The Man From Rome may be your answer. The plot, penned by Adrian Bol, Beth Bollinger and Gretchen Cowan, is very Dan Brownian but shorter and with fewer moving pieces and locations. Hunky Richard Armitage stars as a Vatican troubleshooting priest who we quickly understand to be the Church’s go-to guy for dangerous missions. Not so much for gruesome cleanups like Harvey Keitel’s memorable Mr. Wolf, in Pulp Fiction but where there’s a problem, Armitage’s Father Quart is reliable for a solution. The film opens with his being bummed about someone he was unable to protect on a recent job. Not his fault but guilt lingers, regardless.

Switch to the Vatican’s computer center.

We are big fans of Mr. Scott Adkins. Period. Full stop. His new action action movie, Legacy of Lies, directed by Adrian Bol, looks likely to keep up his streak of entertaining pictures that fairly well explode on the screen. "You will not win." Lionsgate has released the first official trailer for an international spy thriller titled Legacy of Lies, from Dutch director Adrian Bol. This will be available to watch on VOD later this summer for those who want to watch it. Scott Adkins stars as Martin Baxter, an ex-MI6 agent who is thrown back into the world of espionage and high stakes to uncover the shocking truth about operations conducted by unknown secret services. Martin finds himself in the crosshairs of both UK and Russian intelligence, with a threat on his family putting even more pressure on him to deliver. Also starring Anna Butkevych, Honor Kneafsey, Andrea Vasiliou, Martin McDougall, Matt Mitler, Marco Robinson, Victor Solé, and Yuliia Sobol. This looks like every other spy action thriller, with all the same warehouses and underground bunkers and colorful bars where Kgb agents appear. And the "movie trailer guy" voiceover in this is so bad.
