Since shifting its focus from first-run films to cult classics nearly a decade ago, the Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton, Pennsylvania — a rural borough about 75 miles northeast of Philadelphia — has thrived as a haven for genre fans. Zombie Fest, Godzilla-palooza, Troma-Thon with Lloyd Kaufman, Camp Blood Slasher Celebration, Werewolf Weekend, and John Waters’ Filthy Film Fest are just a few of the events programmed this season.

From director Justin M. Seaman, both The Barn and The Barn: Part II are now streaming on Screambox, and the sequel is now getting its own video and board game!
Seaman explains, “I’ve spent the last decade building and marketing the world of The Barn to all the fans who have made the series what it has evolved into today. Over the past year, I’ve had countless people ask if I had any plans to make any awesome merchandise for The Barn Part II like I did for the original, and although I did make some merch for Part II, I was secretly pouring my free time and energy into creating the follow up Video Game and Board Game.

Writer/directors Chad Bruns and Zane Hershberger (10/31) let us know where Force to Fear is coming from right from the start with opening credits that look like they were lifted from an 80s VHS. And it is indeed an homage to the straight-to-video films of the era, but rather than a slavish copy of those films. Or worse yet, a generic B-movie with digital tape damage, they’ve added a couple of twists to the formula while still keeping everything feeling authentic.
Ryan sold some drugs to a woman who died of an overdose. That woman was Clint’s (Joseph Setticase; The 5th Dimension) wife Sarah which is why he’s now beating the shit out of Ryan in an abandoned school.
