GROWING UP: Laurie Burke is a San Francisco native born into a family of professional Musicians (she said her upbringing would best be described as "This Is Spinal Tap" meets "The Partridge Family"). As an Actress, Voiceover Artist (she was the original Voice of Google), TV Host, Singer, her unique voice has been heard by millions and her face has aired in over 100 million homes.
ACTING: With 20 years of getting to do what she loves, Laurie is the true definition of a "Multi-talented-quadruple-threat". As an Actress, she's appeared in hundreds of productions from Film to TV to Musicals (such as Company by Stephen Sondheim) and plays and has worked on-set opposite the likes of Hugh Laurie, Daveed Diggs, and most recently behind the scenes opposite Adam Devine in the movie "Jexi" where she got to combine her Voiceover skills with her improv comedic acting skills.
VOICEOVER: As a Voiceover Artist, she's done thousands of Voiceovers in genres ranging from commercial to animation, to tech, to films, jingles, and beyond. Besides being the original Voice of Google, she has represented some of the biggest companies in the world. As "the Voice of Silicon Valley" she voiced for such heavyweights as LinkedIn, Cisco, Oracle, Samsung, and more. She's also narrated for award shows such as The Emmy Awards and CSM awards honoring President Bill Clinton, Bill Nye, and the cast of Modern Family.
TV & ONLINE HOSTING: She was a TV Host/Movie Review Host for Common Sense Media, the leading source of Entertainment and Technology for families for 8 years which aired in over 100 million homes. Always up to help, Laurie became Backstage Magazine's resident Voiceover expert - hosting free Voiceover videos online when the country shut down.
EDUCATION: After earning her degree in Broadcast Communications, she spent 7 years traveling the world as an International Flight Attendant, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and the Comedie de Francais in Paris. She's also worked with physicians to help them effective end-of-life discussions and has worked with various charitable organizations. Her highly diverse talents and lifestyle performances combined with her undeniable excitement and passion for creativity have touched many lives.
