Taryn Marler is best known for her role on popular teen drama, Blue
Water High series 2, as Rachel Samuels and her villainous role in the
internationally successful children's/tween series, H2O: Just Add
Water, where she played Sophie Benjamin. She also appeared in the award
winning short film Car Pool, as Chrissy Clapton, alongside acclaimed
Australian actress, Kerry Armstrong, as well as a small role in
Australian thriller, in Her Skin, opposite Guy Pearce and Miranda Otto.
Taryn guest starred in H2O: Just Add Water, season 2, as a 1950's
mermaid called Julia, in "The Gracie Code" episodes. Taryn also had a
guest role in long running British television series, Heartbeat, when
they filmed two episodes on location in Australia. Taryn met up with
her Blue Water High co-stars Sophie Luck, Lesley Anne Mitchell,
Gabrielle Scollay, Ryan Corr, Trent Dalzell and James Sorensen in early
2006, and spent 6 months filming teen drama, Blue Water High on the
pristine Northern beaches of Sydney, Australia. Taryn has also taken
part in Rove McManus's stand up comedy tour in a 'Benny Hill' style
skit, as a nurse in his 2008 tour. Taryn Marler was involved in the
third and final season of H2O: Just Add Water, where she played Sophie,
a fiery red head who is very involved in her brother, Will's, success
as a free diver. She also causes much grief to the mermaids throughout
the season and is viewed primarily as a negative and villainous
character.
