Note: This article contains mentions of sexual abuse toward a minor.
Zara Phythian, an actress who appeared in a minor role in 2016’s “Doctor Strange,” and her husband Victore Marke have been accused of grooming and having sex with a 13-year-old girl for a period of three years beginning in 2005, per the BBC.
Now an adult, the unidentified woman told police in an interview played for jurors at Nottingham Crown Court that the couple, who were not married at the time, filmed most of the abuse. Phythian and Marke, who were around 21 and 43 at the time, have jointly been accused of 14 charges of sexual activity with a child. They have denied the allegations.
A representative for Phythian did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Phythian and Marke were martial arts instructors at the time, and the woman said she thought of the former as a role model because of her success in the field.

We are living in some extremely exciting times when it comes to British independent cinema. I mean yes, okay, Covid-19 has been a soul sucking bitch we could all do without but it has given us all a minute to admire what the true creatives are coming out with and I would say more low budget projects, thanks to Hollywood almost giving up on movies, are finding their day in the sun and I for one am hugely impressed with what I’ve seen so far… Tribal: Get Out Alive is one such flick that I have been keeping an eye on for a while now, especially as the cast and crew were dropping the odd behind the scenes teaser on social media. However I was not expecting this!

Horror comedy is very difficult to get right. Managing to cause laughs and scares is always a tricky balance, especially over the length of a feature film. The Evil Dead 2 is often held up as the best example of the genre, but I would probably update this to Tucker and Dale vs. Evil which managed to be sweet, funny and feature some very memorable and violent scenes. Cannibals and Carpet Fitters is, much like Snakes on a Plane, a title that makes me smile. It earns an awful lot of good will through title alone. But beyond the amusing Cockney vs. Zombies-style title there must...

Could the mysterious woman seen below be Umar? Or is it possible that she's Clea? More likely, she's probably Zealot (played by Zara Phythian), a character who seems to be the "Faora" to Mads Mikkelsen's "Zod". With the mention of The Dark Elves, we know the prelude will take place in the present-day Marvel timeline so these events likely occur not too far ahead of where the Doctor Strange movie will begin. In other Doctor Strange news, check out what Benedict Wong has to say about the film's interpretation of 'Wong'. It's definitely a big departure from his traditional role in the comics. Despite the release of a very cool teaser trailer, there’s still an awful lot we don’t know about Doctor Strange. The biggest mystery is who the villain will be, especially as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Baron Mordo appears to be an ally to The Ancient One and the Sorcerer Supreme.

Cross-media project market and conference unfolds June 19-20.
Actress, writer and producer Emily Corcoran [pictured] and director Annette K Olesen’s will be among the film professionals crossing over to the web to present transmedia projects at the upcoming edition of Cross Video Days (Cvd) in Paris later this month.
The cross-media market and conference event, unfolding June 19-20 in a former warehouse on the outskirts of Paris, marks its fifth edition this year.
Founder Bruno Smajda is expecting it to be the biggest edition to date.
“It’s taken off in terms of the quality of the projects and the attendance of commissioners, one feeds into another,” he says.
“Today producers and broadcasters have to conceive projects in a transmedia way, taking into account convergence and what’s happening digitally — not least due to the realities of the market and the way in which people consume content,” says Smadja.

If I was to ask you to think of action movies set in tower blocks you could probably come up with movies like Die Hard, Dredd and The Raid as being some of the most popular. Working with these type of settings it allows the film to have a certain controlled level of action and even set the fighting at levels of hardness. This is something that He Who Dares does, but at a low-budget and with a certain degree of British patriotism.

To mark the release of He Who Dares on 7th April, we’ve been given 3 copies to give away on Blu-ray.
Directed by Paul Tanter (The Rise And Fall Of The White Collar Hooligan) He Who Dares is the tense and brutal tale of six Sas soldiers called in to infiltrate a multi-storey building taken over by a gang of ruthless terrorists.
With the terrorists barricaded deep within the building, and holding the Prime Minister’s daughter hostage, the elite team of Sas troops are left with only one way in and one way out. With the odds of coming back out of the building alive stacked against them, their only option is to take the fifteen storey building one floor at a time in the hope of reaching the hostages before it’s too late.

*here be spoilers. Director: Rupert Bryan. Writers: Rupert Bryan and Ben Loyd-Holmes. Cast: Tamer Hassan, Barbara Nedeljakova, Ben Loyd-Holmes, Zara Phythian, Daniel Caren, Dominic Le Moignan, Jemma Bolt, Lisa-Marie Long, and Shauna Macdonald. There have been many films developed in the rape revenge genre. From I Spit on Your Grave (1978) to Irreversible, there are issues of violence and power shown in this style of film. Rupert Bryan's The Hike is much less violent than the films mentioned here. The villains seem more content with fondling a group of female hikers rather than acting out their dark desires. Thus, The Hike begins as a tepid rape revenge thriller that transitions into a standard horror feature with the ending and music two of only a few quality film elements. Five girls, Torri (Barbara Nedeljakova), Kate (Zara Phythian), Charlie (Jemma Bolt), Ellie (Lisa-Marie Long) and Leanne (Stephanie Siadatan), head out on a camping trip to escape their.
