Just in time for Halloween, Cradle of Filth have returned with a new standalone single and video, “Malignant Perfection,” which can be streamed below.

Frontman Dani Filth called the track the band’s “horrific homage to All Hallows Eve.” Subtle, bouncing keyboard lines are the most prominent sound in the mix aside from Dani’s raspy harsh vocals, creating a regal and festive atmosphere — as if he’s addressing a gathering of guests at some haunted banquet. Guitars are employed selectively, adding the occasional instrumental flourish and carrying the buildup during the song’s dramatic bridge section.

“It is a perfect musical accompaniment to the spirit of the witching season; invoking dark, Autumnal splendour and celebrating the time when the thin line between life and death is at its most tenuous and the denizens of the otherworld seek to break the veil into ours,” elaborated Dani in the press release for the song.

Industrial act 3Teeth have announced a new album, EndEx, arriving September 22nd via Century Media. The band’s fourth LP promises to be “their most raucous yet, unveiling bold revelations of humanity’s technosocial disintegration behind a brutal soundtrack that sounds all the alarms,” according to a release.

Fans have already been treated to a few singles off the set, including “Paralyze” (featuring Ho99o9), “Merchant of the Void,” and “Slum Planet.”

Now, on top of the album news, 3Teeth have shared “Scorpion” as the LP’s latest single. The track features an epic combination of industrial instrumentals and haunting female vocal chants. An accompanying music video was directed by Vicente Cordero and 3Teeth frontman Alexis Mincolla.

“The scorpion symbolizes the challenge to confront and integrate those parts of ourselves that we repress, ignore, or fear,” Mincolla said in a statement. “It invites a descent into the depths of the personal and collective unconscious.

Guitarist Michael Ciravolo assembled an all-star cast for his moody, hard-hitting 2018 album Finding Beauty in Chaos. Ministry’s Al Jourgensen, Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, Van Halen’s Michael Anthony, the Cure’s Simon Gallup and many others contributed to the LP, released under the project name Beauty in Chaos. Now, Ciravolo — who has worked with bands including Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel and also serves as president of Schecter Guitar Research — and producer Michael Rozon are prepping Beauty Re-Envisioned, a companion release featuring remixes and alternate versions of the album’s tracks.
