He compared the director's methods to those of "an indie filmmaker," though he acknowledged that the difference is that Nolan has access to "crazy money" to bring his vision to the big screen.

Season 1 of the Peacock show featured 10 episodes of Lyonne’s Charlie Cale, a Vegas casino worker whose keen sense of honesty leads to a Columbo-style show and reverse detective format. Johnson, who also has Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery in the works with a stacked cast, describes the show as a “howcatchem” versus a “whodunit” which is the format of the Knives Out and Glass Onion films.

Peacock has revealed exciting news about the second season of Poker Face. New images have also provided a first look at the new episodes.

Poker Face Season 2 is set to premiere on Peacock in Spring 2025. New photos share a sneak peek at Natasha Lyonne in the second season along with some of the various guest stars. While a specific premiere date has still yet to be announced, the Spring 2025 release window is good news for fans who have been waiting for the second season to arrive. Charlie Cale is back in action, as “Poker Face” Season 2 will premiere sometime this spring, Peacock announced.

The streamer also released a handful of first-look images of Rian Johnson’s mystery-of-the-week series, which stars Natasha Lyonne as a de facto detective who has an extraordinary ability to tell when someone’s lying.

The teaser images boast an all-star lineup of guest stars for the 12-episode Season 2, including John Mulaney (posing against an airplane) and Cynthia Erivo (seen as three of five sextuplets sporting very different outfits).

The Natasha Lyonne-starring ensemble mystery series “Poker Face” is collecting a few more exciting stars for its second season. In advance of its spring premiere, Peacock has released a fresh batch of first look photos, along with news on the stars bound for the series’ next act.

Season 2 of the Award-winning original series “Poker Face” will be sporting quite a few familiar faces from the recent awards circuit, including “Wicked” star (and Oscar opener) Cynthia Erivo, “SNL” alum John Mulaney, “Between the Temples” actress Carol Kane, “The Piano Lesson” star Corey Hawkins, and “Blink Twice” actors Alia Shawkat, Haley Joel Osment, and Simon Rex.

Peacock is hitting the road again with Poker Face.

The streamer has set a spring premiere date for season two of its mystery-of-the-week series, starring Natasha Lyonne as a woman who can read when anyone is lying and — while on the run from some bad people — uses her skill to solve murders in the places she stops.

Peacock has also released several photos from the coming, 12-episode season (up from 10 in season one), featuring Lyonne’s Charlie Cale and several of the season’s guest stars.

“Poker Face” Season 2 is gearing up for a release this spring on Peacock.

The much-anticipated second installment of Rian Johnson’s mystery-of-the-week series will debut in spring 2025, Peacock announced on Tuesday. Season 2 will see Natasha Lyonne reprise her starring role as Charlie as she outruns her adversaries in her Plymouth Barracuda, which brings her to a number of mysteries across the country she can’t help but solve.

Season 2 will premiere over two years after “Poker Face” first debuted in January 2023, which featured a star-studded cast including Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Stephanie Hsu, Clea DuVall and Ron Perlman, to name a few.

This season will be no different, with this batch of guest stars including Alia Shawkat, Awkwafina, Ben Marshall. B.J. Before the NAACP Image Awards’ main, televised ceremony kicks off Saturday night, some of this year’s winners were announced in a non-televised Creative Honors event on Friday night.

Nickel Boys, a six-time nominee, took home two awards, with director RaMell Ross winning for best directing in a motion picture and Ross and co-writer Joslyn Barnes winning best writing in a motion picture for their Oscar-nominated adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s novel.

Next July is going to be a big month for Tom Holland. Not only will the actor be reprising the role of Peter Parker for Spider-Man 4, but he’ll also be starring alongside Matt Damon in Christoper Nolan’s The Odyssey. The two films were previously slated to hit theaters within a week of one another, but Sony Pictures has shifted the release date for Spider-Man 4, pushing the film back to July 31, 2026. That’s now two weeks after The Odyssey is due to hit theaters on July 17th.

That’s still mighty close, but it does provide a little more breathing room between the two movies. We don’t know much about Spider-Man 4 at this point, only that Holland will be returning and that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton will be taking the helm. In October, Holland said the script was coming along nicely.

Nolan's 2006 film, The Prestige, will drop on Hulu on March 14. The thriller, which unites Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, follows two stage magicians in 1890s London, who develop an intense rivalry with one another. Obsessed with outdoing the other, the rivalry inevitably grows out of control, leading to dire consequences. Jackman and Bale lead the stacked cast, which also includes the talents of Nolan movie regular Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, Piper Perabo, Samantha Mahurin, Andy Serkis, and the legendary David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. Character details are under wraps, as nearly all parts have been kept so far. Matt Damon leads the ensemble as Odysseus, King of Ithaca, whose perilous journey home after the Trojan War is at the center of the story.

An epic poem from Homer, the original literary classic explored themes of heroism, loyalty, cunning and the struggle against divine will, featuring stories like Odysseus’ encounters with the Cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens and the witch-goddess Circe, culminating in a reunion with his wife Penelope.

Christopher Nolan has begun shooting his next film, “The Odyssey.”

Produced by Universal Pictures, the star-studded blockbuster will be Nolan’s follow-up to his Best Picture-winning 2023 hit “Oppenheimer” and will reunite him with a number of his past collaborators both in front of and behind the camera.

An adaptation of Homer’s Ancient Greek poem, Nolan intends to shoot the period epic with “brand new Imax film technology,” making it a big-screen adaptation of “The Odyssey” the likes of which audiences have never seen before.

Set to hit theaters on July 17th, 2026, the film will also reportedly star Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Himesh Patel, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Benny Safdie, Mia Goth, Corey Hawkins, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Jesse Garcia, and Will Yun Lee. Other than Damon as Odysseus, details on other specific roles remain under wraps.

Filming on The Odyssey reportedly began in February, and will include on-site shooting throughout the Aeolian Islands in Sicily, Italy, including on the island of Favignana, which Odysseus and his men are believed to have visited.

The Odyssey marks Nolan’s first film since Oppenheimer, for which he won Best Picture and Best Director at the 2024 Academy Awards.

The casting did not work out in the end, leaving Ulrich feeling the sting of Hollywood rejection.

Per Screen Rant, Ulrich addressed his near-casting in Nolan's next movie, The Odyssey, during a panel at Megacon Orlando. The actor shared that he made it down to one of three possible choices for an unnamed role in the film, and he had just found out the day before the panel that he'd been passed over. Deadline reports that Corey Hawkins, best known for his role as Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton, has been tapped for a role in The Odyssey from Christopher Nolan. This news comes not long after it was revealed that horror icon Mia Goth had also joined the cast of The Odyssey, which is due to begin filming soon and has been set for release on July 17, 2026. Hawkins was most recently seen starring opposite Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington in The Piano Lesson, which is now streaming on Netflix, and he’s also been set for a role alongside Natasha Lyonne in Poker Face Season 2, coming to Peacock later this year.

Whenever Christopher Nolan starts a new production, you can bet that the cast will be absolutely stacked. Like, come on, save some actors for the rest of Hollywood! Per THR and Deadline, Mia Goth (MaxXxine) and Corey Hawkins (The Last Voyage of the Demeter) have joined the cast of The Odyssey.
