Cooper James is a TV Writer/Producer whose career path was determined at age twelve when he was kicked out of Catholic school for playing pranks on the nuns. Despite this educational setback, they let him into Rutgers University. After college he began his entertainment career on the NYC stand-up comedy circuit and relocated to Los Angeles. There he landed a deal with HBO that eventually led to a Story Editor position on ABC's HANGIN' WITH MR. COOPER. Cooper combined this experience, along with the casting, editing, and scriptwriting for HANGIN' WITH MR. COOPER, to aid in the development of THE JAMIE FOXX SHOW, where he rose to Supervising Producer and contributed to a hundred episodes. As his desire to procreate exceeded his desire to party in L.A., he and his wife relocated to New Jersey, his old stomping grounds, where they opened a woman's boutique. After over a decade surrounded by diapers and dresses, while moonlighting as a SiriusXM podcast host/producer, Cooper discovered that his road less traveled re-converged with his original path. He currently has a drama series in development for Adam McKay's HYPEROBJECT INDUSTRIES with writer/producer Charles Murray (LUKE CAGE, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS). In addition, Cooper has developed multiple half-hour comedies/dramedies that tell the stories of underrepresented and multi-racial people.
