Katya Stepanov was born Ekaterina Stepanova in Minsk, Belarus to Tatiana Stepanov and Oleg Stepanov. At the age of three, she and her parents immigrated to New Jersey. She has one brother, Nickolas Stepanov. Education: BFA '13 in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. She recently wrapped her premiere film role as Anna Popov in "Accommodations", writer/dir. Amy Miller Gross, Prod. Scott Rogers, Andrew Carlberg.
Katya graduated from Fair Lawn High School in 2009. In 2008, she won the Helen Hayes Regional Theater Award for Best Supporting Actress. Katya holds a Bachelor of Fine Art in Acting from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. She is an Andrew Carnegie Scholar, and has additionally studied at the Moscow Art Theater, Lee Strasberg School and Rhodopi International Theater Laboratory. She is an actress, musician, writer, producer and freelance art director and is bilingual in English and Russian.
