London, Aug 16 (Ians) Joachim Andersen has informed police after he was bombarded by death threats and a torrent of abuse online following Crystal Palace’s 1-1 draw at Liverpool.
The Eagles defender was headbutted by Darwin Nunez, who was red-carded by referee Paul Tierney and now faces a three-match ban for violent conduct. Andersen was booked in the same incident, but took to Instagram to share what he said was a sample of hundreds of abusive messages he had received since the encounter, reports Dpa.
“Got maybe 300-400 of these messages last night,” the Dane posted to his Instagram story.
“I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act [sic] tough online. “Hope @instagram and the @premierleague do something about this.”
Palace players can choose whether or not to engage their club’s police liaison officer and the Premier League, who have a team set up to investigate,...

London, Aug 16 (Ians) It was a mixed night for Liverpool’s South Americans as Darwin Nunez was sent off on his home debut, but Luis Diaz scored a wonder goal to earn a point for the 10-man hosts in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
A frustrating night for Jurgen Klopp’s team appeared to be heading for defeat after Wilfried Zaha’s first-half opener and Nunez’s dismissal just before the hour, reports Dpa.
Diaz’s superb individual effort got his team level, though, before last season’s Premier League runners-up set about trying to find a winner but to no avail.
It represents another early season blow to Liverpool’s hopes of running champions Manchester City close again in the title race, already four points behind their rivals, but as with their opening draw against Fulham, it may feel like a point gained for Klopp in the circumstances.

Classic entertainment format Supermarket Sweep is returning in the UK after ITV2 ordered a 20-part primetime run.
The Al Howard-created show, which is based on the format that aired on ABC from 1965-67, will return on the Love Island broadcaster with Rylan Clark-Neal as host.
The original series ran on ITV for more than 500 episodes with Dale Winton as host.
Fremantle-owned Thames is producing the show after the Rtl-backed firm acquired the format rights in 2017.
Stripped across four weeks, the show sees contestants face a series of supermarket challenges before trying to win a cash prize following a trolley dash.
It will be exec produced by Phil Harris and Adam Hutchinson after being commissioned by ITV’s Paul Mortimer and Paul Tierney.
Clark-Neal, who earlier today bagged himself a BBC One fashion format, said: “It’s a dream come true to step inside this very special supermarket and...

Chicago – Following our low-grade review of the new Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari comedy “30 Minutes or less,” what we find most interesting is why these talented stars think it’s much funnier than it actually is.
HollywoodChicago.com recently discussed the keep-it-real film with “The Social Network” Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg and “Parks and Recreation” star Aziz Ansari. But overall, they struggled to sell a middle-of-the-road gag reel as the top-notch comedy they’d like it to be.

HollywoodChicago.com: The humor in “30 Minutes or Less” comes from keeping it real and being clueless. Like when Jesse Eisenberg’s character has a bomb strapped to his chest and he has no idea what to do. So, of course, he turns to Wikipedia.
Aziz Ansari: Yes, we had the same thought when we shot the film.

Chicago – The new half-unfunny comedy “30 Minutes or Less” stands as a destructive come down for newly minted star Jesse Eisenberg following his high-profile role as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in David Fincher’s “The Social Network”.
Rating: 2.0/5.0
That 2010 film only won three Oscars and racked up another 88 award wins and 79 nominations. Plus “The Social Network” grossed $224 million at the global box office on a production budget of $40 million. And yes, there’s a reason I’m discussing this past Eisenberg film more prominently so far in this review than his current film.
The disparity between those past award wins and that box-office success as compared to Eisenberg’s current film (he voiced the animated film “Rio” between the two) will be light years apart. No Oscar nominations will be earned for this new comedy from first-time writer Michael Diliberti, basically first-time scribe Matthew Sullivan and, most disappointingly, the director of...
