- Tom was born to parents Nick and Irma on June 29 1987 in Burton-on-Trent in the English West Midlands. He has two siblings, sister Bethan and brother Ben. His parents were drama teachers at the school in Dubai where he and his siblings were educated. He was in a school production of "Blood Brothers" where, he starred alongside his brother and, after graduating from Royal Holloway College, University of London, studied acting at the Bristol Old Vic until 2010 when he was cast in the play 'Enlightenment' at the Hampstead Theatre. Here he was spotted and given a role in TV spy series 'Spooks' with other roles following, most recently in sitcom 'Not Safe for Work'. - There's nothing in 'Copper' that is there only for the purpose of having explosions and sex and drugs and violence, but it's all there as part of this incredibly complicated story. It's very watchable and heartbreaking and visceral.
- [on 'Copper'] It makes me realize how brief life is, and how putting cultures so close together, and jigsawing them and squeezing them to fit, can be incredibly explosive at times. In modern day we live in a place where everyone seems to be quite civil, and differences actually are seen as a very beautiful thing rather than a conflicting thing. But when you throw poverty and different elements in there, people really show their true colors.
