Igor Mamlenkov

Igor Mamlenkov (founder of DOMOVOI THEATRE COMPANY and Associazione culturale BLU SELYODKA), bon in 1988, USSR. Russian-Spanish, based in Ticino, Switzerland. Igor studied at an amateur theatre class since the age of 12. When he turned 15, he has begun breakdancing in various teams in Russia, Denmark until his departure for Barcelona in 2011. In Barcelona, Igor met many performing artists with whom he studied and worked, - Jango Edwards, Johnny Melville, Jef Johnson, Ale Risorio. Alongside Arseniy Kovalskiy, he co-created and performed with a duo show «Soñeneros». In Spain and Portugal, he worked as a performer, director and actor in TV programs, short and feature films (KinoBarna), cabarets, festivals and theatres. He produced, co-directed and starred in an award-winning cycle of short films called "PLACE". Took a three-month course in the LeCoq school by Berty Tovias. In 2015, he created his first solo show "THE SPOILER". He received the Master degree in Physical Theatre at Accademia Dimitri, CH (2016-2019). Altogether with his group of master students, he co-created and performed in the physical theatre performance INSOMNIA, dir. by Pavel Stourac. In summer of 2016, he took part in the International Summer Project LOD'/A BOAT at Theatre Continuo. The show "UN ROMAN RUSSE" is a short solo based on Igor's Master thesis investigation on "Poor Clown" and it has been broadcasted on Swiss TV channel RSI (2020-2022). He participated as an additional green clown in Slava's Snow Show in Lausanne, CH, Nov., 2016. He co-created and performed as a protagonist in the show "Radio Frankenstein" by Markus Zohner Arts Compagnie (2017-2019). His first full-length solo theatre piece DOMOVOI had its premiere in Jan., 2018 at Teatro Dimitri and toured until 2019. In 2019, he co-created and performed in "HIOB" and "Schmetterlingseffekt" performances dir. by Anton Adasinskiy, Derevo Laboratorium. During pandemia 2022, as a resilient force, he has created the show "WHO IS THERE?", dir. Xavier Bouvier (duo OkiDok) supported by Swiss private foundations, which he currently tours. He produced his most ambitious solo performance "BARDAK" dir. by the renowned physical theatre director Anton Adasinskiy (Theater Derevo, Dresden) in 2022. Domovoi Theatre Company has toured with its original creations in Switzerland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia, Macedonia, Tunisia and Uganda. In 2024, Igor collaborated with an exceptional organist Aurore Baal for the creation "COORDONNIER ET LE LUTIN" performed in the ABBAYE de ST.-MAURICE (CH).

His most noted films works are FOODIE LOVE (HBO SPAIN) by Isabel Coixet, CELLULE DE CRISE (RTS Suisse) by Jacob Berger, UN AÑO, UNA NOCHE, feature film by Isaki Lacuesta(Berlinale 2022). Now Igor is working on a few short film projects of his own and is open for new collaborations, new horizons and challenges.
