Sean Brody(I)
- Actor
- Composer
New Jersey native Sean Brody began acting and modeling at a young age. He booked his first modeling job, a photo featured in a math-text book, at the age of 5. His interest in acting grew as he performed in school plays and soon he began attending more auditions, eventually booking himself a role in a crest toothpaste commercial. However, as school became more rigorous, Sean gave up acting and turned to music.
At the age of 7, he began taking piano lessons privately. He studied with multiple mentors until coming across his "guru", Mitchell Schecter. Sean studied with Mitch privately for the better part of middle school and high school - right up to college, when he chose to pursue a degree in English Education. He attended Albright College in Pennsylvania, on a partial scholarship for piano. Though Sean loved Albright, his dreams were closer to home and so he transferred to Montclair State University in New Jersey in pursuit of those dreams. Almost immediately, he had booked a role on Maury, then on a GE podcast, a regional commercial, as well as a role as an "extra" in The Experimenter film. He'd continue booking smaller roles and was invited back to shows like Maury and Deadline crime before finally booking a scene on NBC's The Blacklist, which is to date his largest role on film.
Off screen, he stays busy licensing his music with networks such as Fox Sports, NASCAR, Discovery, TLC, Oxygen, and Netflix or composing for indie films/shows, such as "North of the City", directed by Paul Zimmerman. Other notable work includes the "Organico Grocery Cafe" jingle and a feature in a promo for "Headliners", a show produced by members of Yellowcard, Amberlin, and the Rocket Summer. Other credits include producing, session playing, and backing other musical artists such as Gia Farrell, Abigail Breslin, Gia Farrall, Wayne Olivieri, Jai, Lizzy Farrell, Vinnie Caruana, Val Astaire,Driicky Graham, Hey Indo, Skyward Story, and others.
As of 2018 he plays in a band called "Rectanglez" and continues residing in New Jersey, close to where he grew up, next to the big city that he loves.
