Daniel Velasco is an actor born and raised in New York City. Influenced by his mother, a former Filipino Folk dancer, and godfather, a Miss Saigon original cast member; he started acting in commercials and theater at a young age. He went on to study theatre at Fordham University and the London Dramatic Academy and later he became a recipient of the Denzel Washington Scholarship, allowing him to continue his artistic development. Upon graduating, he was cast as the lead in the play Year Zero by Michael Golamco at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, Massachusetts and followed it up with co-star roles in The Slap (NBC) and The Detour (TBS).
When not acting, he continues to train in Mixed Martial Arts but no longer competes as an amateur fighter.
