“NCIS: Origins” shared a glimpse inside Lala Dominguez’s armor during an action-packed Episode 6, while adding more layers to her blossoming connection with Gibbs.

The CBS prequel series went undercover with Monday’s new episode, titled “Incognito,” while also putting the spotlight on the female Nis special agent played by Mariel Molino. It’s been established that Lala developed a special bond with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) at this time in his life, but this hour focused on her mindset while navigating the toxic boys’ club within her workplace and feeling uneasy at home.

“With what we’ve filmed so far, her feelings toward Gibbs are starting to really get deeper, and that starts to get scarier for her,” Molino told TheWrap about what’s to come. “But it is evolving in a really lovely way because it’s coming...

Well, ladies and gents, I’d say Christmas came early, but I’m still trying to figure out what exactly NCIS: Origins gave audiences. We thought we were getting answers but were left with questions.

Truthfully, the case in this episode was a particularly difficult one to follow. If I have it right, a guy who worked for the government was tricked into giving away military weapon schematics.

However, the actual plot of NCIS: Origins was almost entirely about Special Agent Lala Dominguez. It only took six episodes, but we finally got some insight into the character.

The order stems from strong viewership for the premieres of both new shows. “NCIS: Origins” Episode 1 has been seen by 9 million viewers, while “Poppa’s House” has garnered 6.41 million viewers, according to VideoAmp and internal streaming data. On streaming via Paramount+ and CBS Tve (CBS.com and the CBS app), the network says both shows posted significant gains from their counterparts last season — “Origins” was up 54% from “NCIS: Hawai’i,” while “Poppa’s House” was up 137% from “Bob Hearts Abishola.”

The shows, both produced by CBS Studios, have slotted in well alongside veterans The Neighborhood and NCIS on CBS’ Monday schedule.

“NCIS” is one of the jewels in the crown of the CBS network. It’s a well-oiled machine of naval-related crime-solving that has remained one of the most-viewed shows on television for over two decades. The series that started it all way back in 2002 is 22 seasons in and has outlasted three of its four spin-offs. It only makes sense for the network to keep that good ship moving forward, even though surely they’ve run out of navy-specific murders to solve at this point. Maybe that’s why this new series is a prequel, focusing on the franchise’s original hero, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

CBS has set a premiere date for NCIS Season 22. The network has also revealed when fans will see the highly anticipated new NCIS prequel series, NCIS: Origins.

NCIS returns for its 22nd season on Monday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. Et. That’s followed at 9 p.m. by the two-hour series premiere of NCIS: Origins, featuring Austin Stowell as a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and narrated by Mark Harmon.

NCIS moves to its regular 9 p.m. timeslot starting Monday, Oct. 21, with NCIS: Origins airing at 10 p.m.

The dual NCIS premieres kick off premiere week at CBS.

TVLine has learned that the Australian Longmire vet has been tapped to fill the recurring guest star role of Jackson Gibbs, the hard-nosed father of one-day NCIS team leader Jethro, who of course was played on the original series by Mark Harmon. The cancellation of the Cristin Milioti-led Max original comes on the heels of one of the streamer’s other titles, Ridley Scott’s “Raised by Wolves,” getting the axe earlier this week amid ongoing shakeups at HBO Max’s new parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.

Titled “One World, Infinite Wonder,” the new collection features over 170 titles that focus on the environment or climate change, from stand-up sets, nature documentaries and television dramas. The collection also features artwork from California-based illustrator Leonardo Santamaria.

The launch of the collection coincides with the release of “Our Great National Parks,” a new five-part documentary series executive produced and narrated by former U.S. president Barack Obama. Exclusive: Filming is slated to resume tomorrow on the second season of HBO Max’s dark romantic comedy Made for Love, from Paramount TV Studios, I have learned.

I hear production was paused last week after positive Covid test results, including in the central Zone A, which includes the cast and those in direct interaction with them. The results were produced through the show’s rigorous testing protocols.

Based on the Alissa Nutting novel and executive produced by Christina Lee and Nutting, Made for Love stars Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, Ray Romano, Dan Bakkedahl, Noma Dumezweni, Augusto Aguilera and Caleb Foote.

The series premiered in April 2021 and was renewed for a second season in June.

Sarunas J. Jackson, a guest star on the first season of the Cristin Milioti and Billy Magnussen dramedy, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2, and the show has added Chris Diamantopoulos and Angela Lin as recurring with Paula Abdul joining as a guest star.

Jackson, best known for his role on HBO’s Insecure, plays Jay, a co-worker of Milioti’s Hazel from the Twin Sands bowling alley, with surprising new developments in Season 2.

Diamantopoulos, best known for his role in Silicon Valley and who most recently is starring in Netflix’s Red Notice and True Story, plays Hank Walsh, a debonair, zealous FBI agent tasked with uncovering the hidden truths of The Hub.

Lin, who stars in Apple’s Little America and had a guest -tar role on Grey’s Anatomy, is playing Dr.

Exclusive: Caleb Foote, who previously was a recurring guest star on the Max Original series Made for Love, will be returning for season 2 as a series regular.

HBO Max has renewed its Cristin Milioti-led comedy “Made for Love” for Season 2, the streaming service announced Monday.

The dark comedy, which debuted in April, tells the story of a woman on the run who discovers that her husband, a controlling tech billionaire, has implanted a monitoring device – the Made for Love chip – in her brain.

Alissa Nutting, the author of the source novel, served as executive producer on the first season and has been upped to co-showrunner on Season 2. She will work alongside Season 1 boss Christina Lee.

“The book was so surprising,” showrunner Christina Lee says of Alissa Nutting’s novel “Made for Love,” which inspired the HBO Max series of the same name. Lee and Nutting are both executive producers and writers on the freshman sci-fi comedy series. After an idyllic ad for a relationship cure-all (also called “Made For Love”), featuring married couple Hazel (Cristin Milioti) and Byron (Billy Magnussen) walking toward each other and the camera with beatific smiles, there’s a hard cut to Hazel emerging from a hole in the ground, soaking wet and gasping for air. Once she squeezes herself out, she looks around at the dusty desert surrounding her and heaves a huge sigh and laugh of pure relief. She glances back at an enormous white building in the far distance, sticks her middle finger at it with such concentrated hostility that it practically vibrates, and stumbles away as fast as her bare feet can take her.
