Mya-Breyana Morton is an accomplished director and cinematographer hailing from Atlanta, GA, holding a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Savannah College of Art & Design. Her impressive portfolio boasts a string of accolades, including a prestigious Webby Award win and Emmy Award nomination for, Because, I Love You. Morton's talent as a filmmaker is exemplified by her award-winning student films, What Remains of Emily, Proud, and The Traveler, which have enjoyed successful domestic and international festival runs, collectively amassing eight coveted awards. Most recently, Morton's thesis film, The Traveler, received widespread acclaim and was showcased on WABE/PBS's Atlanta on Film, further cementing her reputation as a rising star in the industry. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field, Morton was honored with the Independent Film Trailblazer Award at the esteemed 2022 Black LGBT Film Festival.
