Nany Peña began her career in 1985 with Cecilia García in "Cecilia En Facetas" as a production assistant. Five years later, she became part of the talent cast on the television shows "Punto Final" and "Gordo De La Semana" hosted by one of the most recognized personalities in the Dominican Republic, Freddy Beras Goico. She remained in these spaces until 1999 when she decided to start a new project together with other notable figures in the industry; the television show called TVHumor.com and was broadcasted through Telemicro for more than a year.
Simultaneously, her talent and celebrity status allowed her to star in several sold-out plays in New York City, such as "La Sirvienta es Peligrosa", "Cosas de Mamá y Papá", as well as a participation in the movie "Nueba Yol: Bajo La Nueva Ley", which led her to be one of the first female comedians from the Dominican Republic to play a major role on the big screen.
Nany also enjoyed one of the biggest wins in the mid-'90s when she received the "Comedian of the Year" award from the Soberano Awards, formerly known as the Casandra Awards. Finally in 2001, she decided to focus on her own projects, "El Show de Nany Peña", which was also broadcasted daily on the radio. At the same time, she was an important part of several television commercials, where she showed her talent and charisma as a comedian and actress.
In 2018, she returned to the stage along with the original cast members of what is now considered, the most successful comedy of all time in the Dominican Republic. In 2020, she gained even more notoriety when millions of people all over the world began using her voice on TikTok; more than 20 million and counting. In 2022, Nany Peña returned to the TV screen on the audiovisual show - Tropicando.
