In all eventuality, you've seen this movie before, whether it's Brubaker or the 100's of prison films where the inmates actually run the roost. This one is no different, sort of like a "me, too" offering. That said, it is notable for the cinematography and acting. The music is tad too much on the stringy melodramatic side, but then again, I suppose this is what's expected of Korean films. It's interesting that the lead actor in the film resembles Jet Li a bit. Too bad he wasn't capable of those gravity-defying leaps Jet is known for. To be sure, the movie is fairly convoluted and hard to understand in spots due to the wide array of actors used. Still, it's worth watching, not just for the violence, but the outcome.
