Watching Doctors is very much akin to eating and/or putting things in your mouth. Sometimes enjoyable (a good meal equals a good episode), sometimes horrible (a bad taste/unplatable medicine), sometimes with a necessary purpose (you eat to prevent starvation) & sometimes it is pointless (you would never live on just chewing gum).
It is a SOAP - don't expect literary magic in the scripts or deep & meaningful, highly engaging storylines. Award winning acting (you cannot deny this, however you think it might be deserved or not), it's launched many careers & bolstered others, it enjoys good audience numbers & continues to bring happiness to many. Look elsewhere for high drama, precison comedy, heart wrenching emotional pathos & the like. Accept it for what it is, chewing gum for the eyes & as that, it can still be highly enjoyable, even if it isn't life changing or vital to human existence.
To repeat, it's a SOAP, not real life. Critics, don't be so serious, fans, don't be so blindly avid.
