Ben's car from Florida that all the kids are admiring, is a 1940 Cadillac Series 62 convertible sedan. It's original MSRP was $2,195 ($36,100 in 2016). In excellent condition this car can fetch over $70,000 at auction in 2016.
Warner Bros. originally planned to release "Four Mothers" in its new Vitasound audio process, a non-stereophonic process that increased loudness for certain scenes by switching on additional amplifiers and speakers. "Santa Fe Trail", released in December 1940, was ultimately the only film fully presented in the Vitasound process at select engagements; by the time "Four Mothers" was released, in January 1941, the Vitasound plan had been dropped, and the sound system was abandoned.
